wow! thats pretty bad ass. I wish they would have made different color schemes alot sooner. I love the all black look. Man, i thought for sure they werent going to make it in 05... guese they changed their minds.
I have always loved the RC-51, but have been dissapointed with the race rep only color scheme in the US. The all black is awsome, but I would like to see it with the wheels painted red to match the RVT logo. I never cared for the HUGE "honda wings" graphics either, but the new ghost wing on the black is a big improvement.

--Amen, brother. I SOOOOOO want the new 05 version. I'm looking to sell my bike and pick up something new. It WAS a toss up between the new 1000RR and the RC. No more contest. I want that 05 RC.
But someone please explain why Honda prices an older, not really updated model (and a less popular one at that) than their new 1000RR? The price of the RC should be going down, and it shouldn't be more expensive than their latest and greatest.
It's ok, but I prefer the 03 RC (maybe cause thats the year I have). If they would have did the Colin Edwards Stars & Stripes blue, it would have looked really good.
OK RC owners, tell me what you think. I think it's the baddest looking 51 I've seen yet!!
BTW, I think it's awesome that Honda is bringing the RC back for 05. It really would have been a shame to stop producing such a kick ass bike!!
I am almost quite sure I am down for one in Feb. My 03 is putting on miles like crazy.. I am at 27,400 now. Looking to get an 05, make my 03 a track bike. Ditto for my gixxer. I want to get on 05 gix and regulate my 01 gix for track too.. All I need to do is meet that sweet rich young girl!!!
The 05, with my special treatment of white wheels, Carbon Fiber Banzai Pipes, gold Sato rear seats, CRG gold levers, smoked windscreen, and Scotts damper. Will get the forks the Dan Kyle treatment, and a Penske in the rear..

You know it is a compliment to Honda's engineering that they can make a bike for 3 to 4 years running and don't make ANY changes except comestic, and still sell all they ship.

You are on the money! The 03 is the baddest RC51 made to date, including the yet to come out 05!
I love the new look of the '05. But then again I love the RC51 in general...all the color schemes.
What is this some people have written about being surprised Honda came out with these for '05? I thought this bike has always been a good seller for them? Is it really possible that they will stop making the RC? I would hate to see the trend of the diminishing v-twins continue.
So glad they have a new color scheme for '05. The old one was OK IMO, but this is a HUGE improvement. Plus all my gear is black.
I agree on the pricing issue as well... wouldn't hurt to have a few upgrades with that new paint for the price. What I don't know, but there's always room to improve.
Now, is it worth $11,900? I dunno. Another car or new bike, another car or new bike... ???? I guess a good problem to have!
