Default RC51 motor oil. How much and how thick?

Hey guys. Just brought home an 02 yesterday woot woot!!! Holy crap this bike is fun. Pics to come. Right now i'm cleaning her up.

But the seller didn't have the owners manual (got all his work done at the shop). And i'm about to change the oil. So if someone could tell me what the manual says for viscosity and capacity of engine oil that would be great. Thanks!

I can't remember what the quantity is but the weight is 10W40. Congrats and enjoy the new ride!

I just dump a gallon in mine, don't worry about the .1 quarts. 10W-40 Honda HP4 Synthetic blend is what I run, but actually changing the oil is WAYYYYYY more important than the brand you run.

hmm strange I always use 4.5 quarts in mine with new filter. BTW 10-40. I change mine every 2500 miles seems good so far at 32,000 miles.

cant say that I do the wheelie thing that much (maybe a small one just to say I can lift the tire and let it come back down). Glad everything turned out ok though. I would never ride hard if i had a girl on the back, just taking too much of a chance if something was to happen. I know a guy down here that he did a wheelie and his girl fell off and wasn't to good for the girl.
