Default just got my new toy...need some help!

i just bought my first rc51. and first let me say omfg. i am in love. i got it with full racing exaust, power comander, solo seat, race tech front forks, ohlings race package and brand new metzler tires. but here is my prob. i am a girl and i am only 5'3. i have 2 toes on each foot that touch the ground on this beast. what can i do to lower it. is there a part that i can buy or can i just adjust the rear shock. i figure about 2 inches should be good. any ideas guys?

lowering the rc51 with the mods you have on it is wrong. don't do it. buy a bike such as, an r6. thinking of a lowered rc makes me sick.

you might be able to shave the seat, but it's not going to give you 2 inches.

Just curious, but what do you plan on using the bike for? An RC would be one of the last bikes I'd ever expect to see lowered, since it is basically a straight up race bike with headlights and signals. It would be kinda like taking an FX4 Ford or a Chevy Z71 and dropping it into a lowrider. I'm not even sure if they make anything to lower an RC, and the shock will not do it. Goodluck with whatever you do. This is something you might not want to hear, but as was mentioned earlier, you might want to get rid of the 51 and get a different bike. A female friend of mine (about your height, a little taller)said she liked the Daytona bikes b/c they had a lower seat height than the others.

Daytona? Lower? I don't think so. I have a 31" inseam and that bike is not lower than the RC Five-One. But then again, she must have long legs...definite plus.

Hmmm.. as to your dilemma firstcherokeekid. You might be able to lower the triples lower on the forks, but the rear, maybe there's a lowering link available. Perhaps one from a 954 may fit. You'd have to do a little research. Or maybe you can let me ride it with you on the back. That will fix it completely!

Congrats btw. It sounds like a looker especially all decked out like that. Got any pictures of it?

Lowering that bike would make me cry.
are you wearing boots? if not do it. beside just lean the bike to the left and keep your right foot on the foot brake when you are stopped how often do you really need to touch the ground.

I have a 30 inseam and my rear is raised and I can Flat Foot my F4 with a SS Super tail on it

As Juggalo mentioned, platforms will help. If there are goldfish in the heels, then you'll get extra fad points. way cool!

edit: Can you get one foot flat on the ground and still keep the bike up? If so, then you'll learn to adjust to it.

If the platforms don't help, consult a motorcycle suspension specialist for advice since lowering it will affect the handling characteristics. Some have shaven the seat down on other bikes, but the Honda seat...is there anything left to shave off??? Try also to soften the rear suspension by adjusting the rebound, pre-load, and compression. You really want to leave lowering the bike as a last resort.

Also, build up those leg muscles by running and exercising. It helps ease parking lot manuevering. Where are those pictures!!!?!!!

Is this your first bike? I'm assuming not. But if it is, please take the BRC MSF course.

Don't worry. It's all good. Just take it with a grain of salt. If you ever come to Oklahoma, I'll ride with ya. It'll be kinda cool to ride with a woman driven RC Five-One.

If you have to tippy toe, do it! It's worth every minute on the Five-One.

Now where are those pics???? hehehe.

I don't mind a little posin'...as long as the clothing is minimal and it has that soft glow in the picture.
