Just Got My Hands On A '04 Rc51...
And I was wondering if someone could tell me where it is that I can find a rear hugger and an undertail kit? I have been looking online, but all the rear huggers that I have come across are only for '01 - '02 models. As far as undertails are concerned, I was wondering if any of you guys have them on your RC's and if they reduce trunk space at all. If you do have them (undertails) where did you get them / brand name / cost ? I would appreciate any/all feedback.
Thanks in advance.

i had a c/f pyramid hugger on my beast. it decided to flop around at high speeds and has a little damage to it. i took it off and decided that i totally wasted $200 on that. it is on my wall, hanging there to remind me not to buy things i don't need.
i made my own undertail out of a plastic lid. cost $0.
this is a pic of it this year. i made a new one out of two lids. i had to melt them together, and rivet them. i got rid of the stock tail light i was running and went with s.o.m.a. lights. cheap, easy to wire up. my whole tail section has been re-wired and all the contents have been rearranged due to additions such as p/c , speedo healer, and battery mod. i use rubbermaid lids from wal-mart, i have a new one that i will probably make this winter. this one will be so simple and perfect and will nearly cost me nothing. i'm getting better with making them. my new one i will probably get rid of my rear turn signals completely, and go with a simple piece of plastic, and have it professionally painted instead of rattle can special.

Can you post some pics? That might give me the courage to do it myself.

this is a picture of the one i made last year for it. i was using the stock tail light and the flush mount signals. if i remember correctly, i was still using attachments from the original black hunk of crap plastic thing honda makes. my goal was to remove that, and make a subframe that would support the battery mod (smaller battery) , PC IIIusb, speedo healer and all the other electronic shyt. i added a couple of pieces of angle aluminum to the subframe and attached all the goodies to the sub frame using velcro and zip ties. since all the items were up and out of the way, this allowed me the chance to put in a flat piece of plastic, that did not have to support any weight of anything. also, it allowed me to be able to clean up the tail for next to nothing, and i could just simply tape off the lights when i went to trackdays. it looked really clean, but it was not perfect. but you know what it looks damn good considering it doesn't cost much at all to make. now that i got this one cut out, i got a good undertail to copy off of. i'll make me a new one this winter out of one solid piece, and have it painted professionally.

Welcome and congrats on the Five-One. You're going to love it if you don't already.
I don't have an undertail kit, nor can I justify spending the $$ on one, but if I was given one for free, it would be one from Texas Fairing or VtwinRC51..hehehe.
