I use a Mobil or Castrol synthetic oil off the shelf at autozone. After 2 bikes with nearly 30k miles (track days too!) with no problems I am convinced synthetic car oil works.

Maybe Motul is better but oil changes on 3 bikes gets expensive.

Default Mobil 1

I just put Mobil 1 15w 50 in my 04 RC51 and in my 01 Ducati 996. There is NO way I am puting $60 oil changes in my bike. The RC and the Ducati are pretty low reving motors compared to inline 4's.

I sweated over this for days. I used to use Motul in my R1 but like they say, oil chages on two bikes gets costly!

Another vote for Mobil 1. That stuff is expensive enough as it is. Then again, I do eat at home or off the Mc D's dollar menu 98% of the time just so I can afford to ride I'm not shittin either.
