Satos Weld failure and fix.
The right pipe on my Sato Banzai's pipes seemed loose. I took it back to the shop that did the installation, and after inspected the pipe, they found where a weld had failed. I called the Dan Kyle, and he told me to send him a picture of the failure. After sending some pictures, I got an email straight from the maker in Japan. They apoligized for the failure and are sendind me a brand new set of cans.
I have 26,500 miles on my 03 RC51, about 22,000 on the pipes. BTW, the pipes are guranteed for life.

it's nice to hear someone standing behind their products. Have any more pics of the bike, I would like to see the pipes and how they look.

A new set of Sato's Banzai Carbon Fibers cans arrived yesterday, straight from Japan. They look like jewels.. Will have them mounted on Monday. Will show some fresh pics then. Here is some pics with the current pipes.

thanks, I am ready to put some high mileage on these babies too.. The other cans withstood about 23 to 24, thousand miles before that weld broke. I plan to put more than 30k on these babies by this time next year.

firefighter, the links didn't die, that is just my phony ISP webspace acting funny.
Just do a couple refreshes, and you should be able to see the pics..
Seeing your bikes, you like Vtwins... I have found out that Vtwins are for purists!!

No problem.. This first pic shows the little space at crevence, or where the round tube part goes into the can..
Now, look at the new can, and this look like it was weld by the "weld god"..
These were different pics, and a shows the failure and the fix more clearly.

Oh yeah! Now THAT is the set of pics you should have orginally posted.
The welds on the new can - (obviously robotic, but purrrty!)
