First Annual National Female Ride Day:May 4th, 2007
"Run by the former European female motorcycle racer Vicki Gray, has initiated a day where women are asked to hop on their bikes or scooters and ride to work, school , to meet a friend or wherever they desire. Just ride ! The ain of the campaign is to raise female rider awareness, promotoe those who already ride, while simultaneously encouraging other females to take up the activity say's Vicki Gray.
National Female Ride Day , now is slotted each year for the first Friday in May, appeals to females who ride, own or have access to a motorcycle. On Friday, May 4th 2007, women are asked to get on their bikes and " JUST RIDE ". No matter what style of bike - sport , cruiser , scotter , dual purpose, street , off road or dirt - National Female Ride Day ains to highlight the manynumbers of females currently active in motorcycling , raise awareness and inspire theo who have not yet taken it up. Those participating are asked to send in a photo capturing an aspect of there involvment on National Female Ride Day for which they will recieve a souvenir and be featured on the website.
