What to do with the posse-LONG READ

Ok, official disclaimer-I am not trying to step on ANYONE's toes here.

I really like the idea of the posse and would like to see it gather steam and take off. Separate individuals are trying to do the same things and are basically duplicating efforts.
Courtney has done a great job with the clothing line and I would like to see her continue with the designing of things like that-it really seems to be up her alley. But other than that, I don't see a whole lot of direction with this thing. I have been waiting for someone to step up and say-this is what we need to do. Since no one has I am stepping up.
I am volunteering to try and coordinate all of the much appreciated efforts. There are several people out there that really want to turn this into something more than a tongue in cheek phrase. I realize it started as a joke, but we have really developed a cool following that I don't want to see die.
Fred has made this great space for us and since then interest has only grown.

Demand for the calendar has been identified. Todd gave the idea of doing a July-July type calendar. I like the idea but want to tweak it a bit run it July 2005-Jan 2007. That would give us enough nice days to have pics taken and submitted for layout. Lynda has a line on someone to print it for us. I will check with her to see what the timeline and cost of printing is.
What I ask of you (All Posse Members):
1) Volunteers for the Calendar. Remember, you need to PILOT your bike to qualify for this. All I know from the last go round is that I am the friggin' Rabbit!

So, please let me know who is doing which month. All volunteers must acknowledge by March 1st. After that we will determine a timeline and requirements for photos.
2) Photographers-I need people able and willing to take good, printable pictures. I do not want to sell calendars with disposable camera quality images.
3) Sales-Every member needs to investigate where these can be sold. Remember ladies, we need these sales to get the posse going-plus we want to donate to a woman's charity.
4) Website details-I would like to know who is doing what and where it is at EXACTLY. Cort, please let me know where we are at with money.

That's all I can think of for now. Again, I am not trying to step on anyone. I want this to move forward. I am hoping you all agree and are willing to help out on this.

We could sell them at swap meets, motorcycle rides, poker runs, anywhere bikers gather and we can get permission. If any member plans on attending such an event, they could bring calendars with them to sell.

p.s. my bf is logged in on my computer, so this is sexyicecold posting

Thanks for this thread Tammy, I've been wanting to say the same thing for a long time, but didn't want to piss anyone off. #1 reason the calendar is so hard to put together is that every printing company wants like 1-2k to print the calendars up front, which is pretty shitty, if someone can find a company that doesn't require upfront $$$ PLEASE TELL US ABOUT IT!! Clothing line, I am going to try and get bubblesixx and her hubby to see if they want to start printing the shirts since cafepress.com does not offer black tees and that what everyone wants. We have some new products coming out soon, some different kinds of sticker and such, they should be pretty cool

! Right now we have had 2 donations of 20 and one of 10 and Paypal takes out 3% of the money so we are just under $50 so far.

I am working on a few things to really get this going. I'll know more in the next day or so.

Also, if you (undefined) do not think you are able to meet the deadlines for the calendar, please do us a favor and do not volunteer. We will come up with something brilliant if need be.

I think Bike Week will help a lot with calendar shots since I know atleast 6 of the girls are coming we can try and get a group shot, I REALLY hope we can try and get a WI group shot going this go round

I'm SO for this 110%... we can discuss more tomorrow....

The ideas we threw out tonight were great... I have track comming soon, and I also want to promote women to do track days, not just street riding.

I'll do what I can, you can count on me...........

You can make calenders at Kinkos they are cheaper than a professional printer at half the cost sell a few make some cash then enlist a pro !

Ok well I'm slightly bigger then I was when we started this calender thing, and since I can't really ride my bike at this point I don't think I'll be able to get good shots. So I won't be able to help out with the picture (although I'll be in the group one in Daytona

). What I'm very willing to do is go around to some of the bike shops here in Tampa and see if they'd be willing to sell the calendars for us. I would need to know how much we want to sell them for and how much of the money is going to charity. I'm willing to help out in any way I can just let me know.
