Nah, the chaps are more for the look and the warmth, got other gear for "protection". Disappointed to hear about the jacket though...seems like a pretty durable jacket. I thought Icon made good products?? Would rather be safe than sorry though. Thanks for the tip Japbike, appreciate it!

np chickie... It seems that the Icon gear for men works well, but I guess they deem it necessary to make the womens line CRAP! I personally like Icon and I have a Icon Motorhead jacket, even tho it is a little big, but it's sturdy as hell. I've read 5 different stories about women falling speeds no more then 25 mph and having their gear fall apart.
