Default Greek Religion

Am I the only one here who believes in the one actually correct religion?

Praise be unto Zeus.

I get so pissed when idiots call it a "mythology" but as soon as I call christianity a "theory" or a myth.

There is no historical proof, be it dwellings or historical landmarks and artifacts that back up the claims of Greek Mythology, other than places of worship and man made art.

Also, Mythology makes no sense in the continued development and well being of mankind.

In Ovid's Metamorphosis, the animals of the earth form, or evolve, from heat and water amongst the mud. Science has pretty much proven evolution.

Check and mate.

The greeks said that we have winter because the goddess of fertility mourns the loss of her daughter. The deal they made was that she would do 6 months in hades because she ate 6 seeds...and we have 6 months of fall/winter. It must be true.

That's MYTHology for you.

Greek Mythology was more a bunch of tales than any kind of guidance for the human race.

The Gods of Greek Myth were immoral and not omnipotent.

Christianity at the very least, is a great guide for living with your fellow man.

Even atheists can agree on that.

This is true - so long as you're not referring to the Christian Church. They're all kinds of misguided.

I agree.

The problem is, there is no real, one, "Christian Church".

There are too many people who want to interpret the Bible to fit their own wants and desires.

History is full of this kind of blasphemy, unfortunately.

Yeah, it's not like the Christian god would enter a bet with the devil to test the resolve of one of his most devout followers by tormenting him, right?

Or test the faith of another follower by telling him to kill his own son?

Or sends evil spirits to cause problems between people? Judges 9:23

etc...

Except for all the hatred towards others not like you, sure it's fine.

REAL Christians don't hate non-Christians.

We might pray for you, but that's it.

I know, you will say "don't bother praying for me".

Ok...I won't.

There were lessons to be learned from Job and his story.

God did these things to show mankind how much he needs God in his life.

Man is arrogant, especially these days, and believes he needs depend on nothing but himself.

Don't worry about Job though. He is enjoying much reward with God now for his faith and obedience.

Christianity must be the biggest group of posers in the world then, cuz these "real christians" you've spoken of are few and far between.
