MA Senate Race
Wow has it gotten quiet around here. What happened?
Anyway, without much digging, I didn't see any threads on the monumental special election going on right now in MA. I'm in MA, and I've never seen or even imagined anything like this in this state in my life.
Thoughts? I think Brown has a very good shot at pulling this off. Not only is this a pure referendum on Obama's absolute horror of an agenda, but his Democrat opponent is a very typical utterly clueless elitist whackadoo.
If the bluest of the blue states is poised to elect a Republican to replace Teddy Kennedy, doesn't this show with absolute certainty how completely off-track and unpopular the radical Democrat agenda is?
Any guesses on what other congressional Dems will do if Brown wins? Or, for that matter, even if he doesn't? At this point, even by making it this close in Massachusetts, Brown's race has got to give other Dems in less-blue states reason to be concerned about what they are forcing down our throats.

People are beginning to under stand that "not Bush" isn't always the best way to elect people.

i hope Brown wins. MA already has a state run health care system that basically does what the dems in congress want theirs to do but does it better. if HCR gets passed, the people of MA will be WORSE off health care wise. i think they know this. they ahve nothing to gain from federal HCR. we desperately need to NOT have a super majority of either party in the senate. we're already in the shitter with the budget, HCR, wars, etc etc. a super majority will only make it worse.

If he pulls this out, we may see a repeat of '94 next year. We may anyway. I'm not convinced a return to the Republicrats is any better, but at least the Demicans won't have a super majority in the Senate to go along with control of the House and the White House.

Update: From Bob Powers of the Globe:
AP was testing an election data feed to its Massachusetts clients. During corresponding tests at our end, the feed of AP’s hypothetical test data was inadvertently posted for a few minutes on a single subsection page within ur site. As soon as the error was discovered, it was removed. We regret the mishap.

I dunno, maybe the same reason they start calling names?
Face it, the Dems screwed themselves at least three different ways in this situation.

Well, the AP has called it and Coakley has conceded. It should be interesting to see the fallout over the next several hours and days.

Obama won the state by 26 points and now Brown won by at least 5. That is HUGE, absolutely freak'n HUGE!!!!. Especially for Mass. Its been decades since a Republican won a Senate seat.

Where the hell is BHD???? I want to rub his nose in it. Barring any dirty politics over the next two weeks the socialist takeover of American medicine is officially defeated.
