Every other president wasn't Muslim at one time either. Little by little you start to hear the complaints that "Obama has done everything EXCEPT what he has promised". Although this is probably not Obama related, it will still reflect on him some how some day.

Either way none of the O haters are gonna be astisfied.
It wouldn't have been considered a publicity stunt at all. It would have been expected that the CIC would address the nation and bring them up to speed on this terrible tragedy.........
My point is that when a president address the nation about something tragic, the people wants him to talk about what happened. Not to give shout outs and/or play politician.

The event had just ended. There was a lot of confusion at Ft. Hood. News reports were saying there might be more than one gunman. Not all of the facts were in.
What, exactly, did you expect Obama to say? What new information should he have revealed?
There was nothing Obama could've said that would've been better besides the generic remarks he actually said. His job was not to brief the world about a random shooting; that's the job of the investigators at the scene.
And to compare a random shooting at an army base to Pearl Harbor? (in ANY context). You really are fucking daft.
I just watched the video, and I saw nothing to offend me.
He's operating with virtually no actual information, and seemed to me to be quite the grownup, which is what I want in a President.

To think he wasn't briefed on what had just happened before he uttered the first word is being in denial. The news channels (yes even Fox) were covering the event for about an hour before his address. Most of the Nation was tuned in the news and knew that there were at least 11 dead and 30+ injured. To think that Obama was ignorant about this is ridiculous. He made a choice, and he choose to talk politics and give shout-outs before getting to the point of why he was addressing the nation in the first place. Yes he did look like an asshole.

The right is not making up anything. It's all there on video. Many on the right AND left felt that Obama looked disconnected and insensitive. If you see nothing wrong with it then you're simply looking at things through a straw. If anyone is ignoring reality is people like you.
