Bingo...

...except for the entire thread of pontification about "the boys coming home" except that they aren't.

Just saying.

Nice.

It's real creepy, in some ways, to "go home".

When my Mom got the cancer that would (take two months to) kill her, we closed our business in SS, rented the house out, and moved back to MD to be there. I got a job - it was easier to work than to stay at the house and wait...

The barbershop where I got my hair cut in the 50s is still there, and is run by the kids and grandkids of the same Greek guy that cut my hair.

I guess there's comfort available there, but I got out of MD when I was 20, and have never wanted to return.

Well, except for the Blue Crabs.

It's extremely creepy when you haven't been there for a very long time and there's nothing left to tie you to your childhood. No relatives or friends down there.

When you pass 50 you wonder if it was even YOU that was living a life there when it's all you knew about the world as a child.

I could never live anywhere else after living in Colorado.

Their leadership is there, and the plot was hatched there. Al-Quaeda is all over because we gave them a reason to expand and travel to see new sites.

Oops, I misunderstood. I actually had built a time machine, but I used it to go back and give them Qu'rans when they were children.

My bad.
