I think i got it right anyway.

Dave did not say that Al-qeada would love us. He did not imply that they were going to bake us a cake either but I am pretty sure that's what you heard in your head.
This probably stems from your perceived belief that all Muslims are terrorists. This based on your mangling of his posts to sound as if he was a Al-Qeada booster.
What he did say, because you obviously missed it, was that the Muslim world would be more receptive to a Obama administration after the last eight years that served as a recruiting poster for Al-Qeada called the Bush administration.
The Muslim world (not all are terrorist states) probably looks upon a future Obama administration that will return to diplomacy first. This, as the article states, would work to damage Al-Qeada's recruiting efforts.
But go on equating the Muslim world with Al-Qeada if it provides some sort of security for you world view. I am pretty sure five year olds feel the same way about the boogey man.

Interesting you say it was a recruiting poster, what about the original twin tower bombings in 1993? Or did alqueda lack the recruits to pull that one off?
Would you like me to cite other various terrorist attacks pre bush Jr?
Damn you liberals are Dense. lap up that bullshit your fed, lap it up.

Thus the
"Obama will fix our rep" paraphrase - seems pretty accurate so far.

Thus the "al queda will have no reason to hate us anymore" part. If changing out the word "hate" in my paraphrase for "attack" makes you happy, go for it.
Sounds like i'm really close.
Nice baseless stereotype too. You'll demonize conservatives that stereotype, but apparently it's okay for you to. I love the massive double standards that you carry. Somehow cutting the junk and insults out of a conversation and bringing it down to the base arguement makes me believe that all muslims are terrorists. Interesting reach.

OK, my timing was a little off unless there's something else out there. I don't feel like spending the day on inardwebz research, so here's what I came up with:
Both the Democrats and GOP had a stated position regarding Iraq- Saddam should go. But, neither had any specifics regarding invading Iraq to remove him.
After 9/11, with the country madder than a stirred up hornet's nest, dumb'ya started "planning" for the Iraq invasion, bypassing the UN and others' diplomatic efforts.
So, there you have it. My comments regarding dumb'ya planning to invade Iraq prior to 9/11 were incorrect. My comments stating he used 9/11 as cover for an unrelated invasion stand.

Too bad the administration stopped planning with Mission Accomplished. If for no other reason, Obama will be an improvement. He seems to have a habit of being overprepared.

Ask yourself why on earth does America have troops in 165 countries? there R only roughly 40 countries without US troops.
There is far, far more to all this than Obama, Bush and any other political figure.

The level of critical thinking displayed here is stunning. OBL himself has enumerated the reasons he attacked the US, and nowhere on the list was "hatred of our freedoms".
The only reason I can figgure that the right clings to "they hate us" is because it absolved them/us of responsibility for anything that's happened.
It ought to go without saying that I would have responded (were I in charge) to the 9/11 attacks by flattening al Quada and killing OBL. What we did instead was to invade a country that was not involved in 9/11. The Saudis have so far been held unaccountable.
Obama will fix our rep and al queda will not have anything to hate us for anymore since bush's actions made them hate us ???
America's fucking with the middle east predates bush by a hundred years. The invasion of an Islamic country that EVERYONE IN THE MIDDLE EASTknew was not involved in 9/11 is simply the icing on the cake, and perhaps the stupidist thing America has done since Vietnam.
My children's grandchildren will be paying for this.
And some of you fuckers still support it.

I have, and I am not prepared to call the whole thing a lie. Some of it is clearly caca, but he's pretty clear on why he acted against the US.

I didn't say they were the Elks Club. I said that they might be less likely to come after us if we didn't fuck with them.

Hey Cheney and the other PNAC boys were planning to invade Iraq before they chose George Bush to be president, so you weren't completely off base. Also, according to Paul O’Neill in his book, he stated that the first country they wanted to invade right after 911 was Iraq and not Afghanistan, but they knew it would be a tough sell so wisely chose Afghanistan.
