After years of working with abused and neglected kids, I can say -- confidently -- that there is no greater pain than growing up unwanted.

I'm a licensed foster parent and my wife and I are currently going through the endorsement process to be able to adopt foster children. I would say that's accurate. I've seen stuff that most people wouldn't be able to stomach, and I'm sure you have to. However, I think being burned to death with chemicals is about the most physical pain a person could go through...

Saline solution is an abortafacient, it's not acid.

I think he was just stating an opinion, not referring to something else.

+1

Don't try to deny others the CHOICE of whether or not to get an abortion, simply because YOU find it morally wrong.

Can you clarify your position?

You believe that this

has the same standing as this?

Is that it?

well yes and no... basically, I'm pointing out the flawed reasoning of "if you don't like xxx, don't do xxx." It's quite a silly argument, easily struck down. If you don't like murder, don't kill anybody. If you don't like rape, don't rape anybody. The flaw in the logic centers on when another's rights are violated by you exercising your choice.

Right. But that would break into whole new worlds of stupid, and I want to be sure.

There you go, Jerome, but with the inevitable logical squirming about "rights".

you still can't see the flaw in the argument can you? and once again, you're both presuming I'm opposed to morning after pills and early first trimester abortions, which I have never stated. I am speaking only of fetuses after what has been termed "quickening".

No, because you're trying to legislate YOUR MORALITY to control other people.

Government has no place making these decisions. That doesn't make abortion right or wrong - it just means there's some things you can't legislate, and this happens to be one of them.
