Another Palin smear bites the dust
So much for the latest internet rumor, that Sarah Palin had an affair with her husband's former business partner, and the liberals' breathless excitement that the partner's attempt to have his divorce record sealed somehow supported this slander.
Another Palin Smear Bites the Dust
Quote:
Nutcase bloggers will have to find another smear against Sarah Palin … again. Did you hear that Todd Palin’s former business partner tried to get his divorce records sealed? Conspiracy theorists immediately began speculating on line that Sarah Palin — that vixen! — must have had an affair and broken up the marriage. Why else would the partner suddenly act to seal his records?
As the Smoking Gun discovered, Scott Richter wanted them sealed — to protect himself from conspiracy theorists (h/t: William Amos):
So when the blogosphere discovered today (via an online court docket) that Scott Richter, a Palin associate, personally filed a sealing motion in Alaska Superior Court, well, conclusions were jumped to. Was Sarah Palin named as the other woman in a messy divorce action? Well, since Richter’s September 3 motion, a copy of which you’ll find below, was denied yesterday, his divorce filings remain open to the public. And a TSG review of the 98-page file shows that the Palins are only mentioned in Richter’s sealing request.
According to the filing, Richter wanted the documents deemed confidential in a bid to cloak details about his home, workplace, and phone numbers because “reporters and news agencies” were using that information to contact him. Richter, a 39-year-old contractor, noted that he is “friends and land owners in a remote cabin” with the Palins and, as a result, journalists were intruding on the “cabin life and private life” of him and his 11-year-old son.
|
The poor guy just wanted his records sealed to protect his family's privacy because you desperate liberal vultures were on him like flies on shit.
No mention of Sarah in the divorce at all.
Any other BS internet rumors you want to toss out as gospel?

I heard someone had a videotape of her feeding a puppy to a polar bear. The footage is a little grainy, but when this makes it to Youtube it will be the end of her political career.

Her image is already fucked, debunking this tabloid nonsense still leaves everyone with plenty of reason to criticize.

Why are you little-brained people always so pissed off? Palin is the hot topic of political conversation all over the internet and the country right now.
Even you little-brain people are talking about her.

I heard she kills polar bears with her bare hands.
Her hotness is the reason the polar ice caps are melting. She's personally responsible for global warming.

I know right? Ain't it great? You guys propelled her RNC speech to levels of viewership that tied Obama and blew Biden out of the water.
She's an instant rock star!
She owns so bad, your guy is now stuck trying to run against her and not McCain!

It's just the moment. She's yet to venture into deep water. Face it, Mr. Obama is running this contest. He decides what's appropriate, he decides the issues. McCain doesn't have any direction.

Look little-brain, who started campaigning for change and now who's on the bandwagon? Who, with the authority to effect the situation said Palin's family is off limits. Yeah, Mr. Obama is defining the issues and defininig issues is half the fight.
Palin won't be such a big deal once the new wears off and that's gonna happen pretty fast. Congeniality isn't gonna count for much in Oxford.

I'm pleased with this. I had NO enthusiasm for McCain until he picked Palin. If he did this in reponse to Obama's claim of change, I don't care. It's ironic that Mr. Change picked an entrenched Washington bureaucrat for his running mate eh? Guess he was responding to McCain's message of experience no?
This one is wash.

This is rich. All his supposed authority doesn't appear to have done squat to get you vultures off her family.

Hey I know it's hard for self-absorbed egotists, but could you at least try not to present your opinion and dreams as fact?

Notice how none of the liberal drama queens who were all over this story for days have replied to the substance of this thread? The only replies after 75 views have been off-topic nonsense.
Stings, doesn't it?

I wouldn't be so quick to gloat.
The rumored affair isn't the only funky thing allegedly going on between the Palin's and a divorced friend. Scott Richter is the ex-husband of Debbie Richter, who was Sarah Palin's campaign treasurer and became the director of the Permanent Fund Division after Palin took office.
According to Andrew Halco, an Anchorage blogger and former member of the legislature, after the Richter's separated she began dating another longtime Sarah Palin friend and government appointee, John Bitney. From Halco:
Quote:
Bitney grew up with the governor, often telling the story of being in the same band class. He served as her Issues Coordinator during her successful gubernatorial campaign in 2006, spokesman for her transition team after the election and on December 1, 2006 he was named her Legislative Liaison.
Bitney was respected as a hard worker by people who knew him and worked with him. In six months, Bitney guided the governor's policies through the legislature, including her hallmark legislation; AGIA.
But John Bitney made the fatal employment mistake; he got on the bad side of Todd Palin.
In June of 2007, it became known that Bitney was dating the soon to be ex-wife of Todd Palin's good friend. Palin reportedly began demanding that Bitney be fired.
After a short time, Bitney realized that he couldn't remain in the governor's office due to the constant pressure and he worked out a deal with Chief of Staff Mike Tibbles to take a transfer to another department.
On July 3, Bitney was in the process of driving his vehicle back to Juneau when he couldn't get his state issued Blackberry to work. When he arrived in Tok he called his office and was told that his Blackberry had been turned off and that his name had been removed from the state employee directory.
His call was then transferred into Tibbles who told him the proposal they talked about was a no deal and the governor ordered him fired immediately. John Bitney was never given a reason why he was fired and never given a chance to make a graceful exit.
However reading the press statements from the Palin administration, you'd think otherwise.
According to the APRN on July 9, 2007, Governor Palin's spokeswomen Sharon Leighow said Bitney left for "personal reasons" and the departure was "amicable."
The Associated Press reported on July 10, 2007, "A spokeswoman for the governor says Bitney and Palin mutually agreed he would leave his post for personal reasons."
Bitney didn't leave his post, he was unfairly and unceremoniously fired and even after serving as a loyal employee was never given an answer as to why he was dismissed by the governor.
According to Bitney, "Todd's words have so much weight".

This one with Richter isn't about fucking, it's about the "first dude" having someone fired from his state job because he was dating the estranged wife of his best friend.
The story about the fucking will be here soon enough.
