So how many times do you have to go through this before it gets monotonous? What's the point in proving this BS over and over again? Do you really think there's anyone here that hasn't figured it out yet?

McCAIN: Actually, the Iraqis are not. The Iraqis were widely reported as short a time ago as a couple of weeks ago that there would be no status of forces agreement, and Maliki would say that, and it got headlines, and of course it turned out not to be true.
Speaking of the surge, I've noticed that McCain is now taking credit for it. They're calling it "John McCain's Surge." But wasn't that Patreaus' plan, based on his published writings? I think McCain plagiarized the surge. Maybe Patreaus should have trademarked it.

McCain advocated a "change" in strategy. I'll admit that it's a pretty nebulous claim, but it passes the sniff test. I'm not sure if the change in strategy was part of the surge or vice versa.
