Why SF is the greatest city in the USA
You just have to love those folks in Baghdad-by-the-Bay. What other place in America would be so freaking great at poking fun at elected officials who take themselves too seriously and turn out to be utter failures.
Scan through this and laugh your butts off.
They have a petition going to name the newest sewage treatment plant
"The George W. Bush Memorial Sewage Treatment Plant"
They may get the thing through, too.
I think it's fitting.
Maybe the GWB Memorial Landfill, too. And the GW Bush Space Station (orbiting something like Pluto)

Yup, S.F. is just too cool. For me anyway.

That's understandable. You need to have a very open mind to enjoy that stuff. Most people in the heartland just can't handle unconventionality. You didn't disappoint in finding this picture and putting it up.
SF's entire history is of being a city which accommodates the unusual. And it's just great, as far as I'm concerned. Food, entertainment, the arts, education. It just flat leads the nation in that stuff....with the singular exception of New York City, perhaps.
By comparison, Denver is a wasteland. Sorry, but that's the way it is.

Huh. Ask most people in the country, and they would say San Francisco is a wasteland. Devoid of any traditional American values, and corrupt to the point of being the laughingstock of the country.
No offense.

Nice place to visit, wouldn't want to live there. In fact it's hella fun to party there, LOTS of very hot airheads. But I think after a month of traffic, high prices and over regulation I just might have to choke someone.

I know it's probably the laughing stock of Springfield, MO.
"Traditional American Values?" What are they, prithee? Clue us in.
Fried catfish and Budweiser? High cholesterol? Being afraid to sleep on the wet spot?

You're so full of shit you squeak when you walk. But, to each his own.
Anyway, we can find tourism spam all day long, but Denver is far higher up most lists than SF.

Party Town
Denver brews more beer than any other city with 80 different beers brewed here.

Unconventional? Uhhh, men dressing up to look like ugly-ass women is a bit more than that. But, if you enjoy it...

I didn't say I "enjoy" it. I just tolerate it with a kind of bemused look on my face. I don't think the world's coming to an end; I don't think that God is going to be pissed off and strike them down.
You put the picture up, not me. That's YOUR idea of what SF's all about. You went hunting for a photo which fit your idea of the city.
And that's fine with me. I have no problem with your attitude. I don't need to sell you on some other notion of what SF is all about. If you're happy with your prejudices, amen and amen, guy. Whatever floats your boat.
I kind of see people like you - really, and Deek here - as people who just love vanilla ice cream and won't order anything else. Just plain vanilla. Forget that there's 30 other flavors out there to taste.
It's kind of like "Traditional American Values," which we all know is code for CONFORMITY. I say "Fook that!"

Anyone else on here equate San Franciso with the gay community? Or is it just me?

Although SF is probably the "gayest" city in America, Chicago has more.
