Obama cons America
Last weekend Obama was speaking publicy and said the right wing is trying to make him appear scary....'cause he has a funny sounding name....and he is black. That's right....he said it.
Ok. He and his side have ONCE AGAIN injected race into this campaign....something he is on the record saying he did not want to be a factor in this election.
You guys see what he is doing here....right? He is inocculating himself.....from criticism by making it racial, and if you disagree with him then by definition YOU are racist.
This guy is a con man the likes of which we have not seen in a long, long time. I was open minded about his tactics (I already know his policies are a disaster) but now he has exposed himself for what he is. A con man.
Hell, suddenly HRC does not look so bad.
You guys here keep guzzlin' that koolaid.

Why is pointing out the obvious a problem? The GOP WILL be trying to make Obama into a scary person with a scary middle name and a scary amount of melanin. They can't use much else to scare anybody, and they have used up the scare tactics they have used in the past. They are completely bankrupt of anything else to run on.
So, what's new? It was Nixon's Southern Strategy. It has been the same since Lee Atwater came up with the Willie Horton ad in 1988. The GOP has been playing off racist white fear since I can remember. The fat flaccid fascist certainly has pandered to racist white fear on a regular basis, too. It is fact, although a lot of people will argue it isn't somehow. Hillary Clinton's campaign even tried it, but it didn't work entirely this time. I hope it doesn't work for the GOP for a change.

No, HRC is still a crazy bitch. As for the race card, this is one of the few times where pulling it seems justified. Afterall i have a friend who's not racist, but not very smart(constant CNN watcher) and he flat out wont vote for obama because he's black. and wouldnt vote for HRC because she is a woman.
Now if he fucks up along the way and pulls the race card....maybe i'll agree.

Funny thing is, I have not seen the GOP doing this at all. Obama's radical left policies are enough fodder, there is simply no need to go after his race. If I even sniffed that they are making it a racial issue, they would lose my vote.
Again....Obama himself has once again injected race.

Wow, you sure got a lot of stuff outta what he said.....
Your mind must be a spooky place in which to be alone. Why don't you make a list of things it's acceptable for Obama to say and send it to his campaign HQ.
And, calm down, we withstood 8 years of Bush, how bad could Bama be.

It's not racist? If his name were "John Paul Smith" do you suppose you right wing mooks would be running around going "John PAUL Smith?"
Did we hear about "William JEFFERSON Clinton?" No.
It's racist as all get out, and you know it.

Don't forget Obama Osama. Rush confuses those about fifty times an hour.
Deek and the R's are just pissed because Obama's taking that off the table. Want to criticize his policies or positions, knock yourself out. But the R's aren't going to get the pass that Hillary did when she pulled this shit.

I don't see it that way, Jerome. It is his given name. I think it is childish to emphasise the Hussein portion, but his name is fair game and you know it.
Your post illustrates my point....that NOTHING can be criticised about Obama. He is bullet proof, and when all else fails, then just say race.
Nice.

It is childish, and it panders to the stupid wing of the GOP. His middle name is irrelevant unless you are playing to stupid people's prejudices. Pretty simple. It is a call to racists, and it will work. Obama's campaign is just pointing out the obvious. The GOP has no ideas and will try to use Obama's middle name and exotic ethnicity as a wedge issue. Every time you see somebody talking about how Obama is somehow out of touch with "American Values," it is a call to racists, as if Obama is somehow not American. He is as American as any of us, but his immigrant ancestry is just closer than most.
So, it isn't Obama injecting race, it is Obama pointing out the obvious. Take it for what it's worth or avoid seeing it. Your choice.

Yup and I'm willing to bet that Obama is betting on exactly that logic.
For that matter why does bringing up race tacitly imply racism? I could give a fuck if hes purple, but I'll call a spade a spade.
