California doesn't want to know who's legal?!?
I have the news on while I'm sitting here studying...
So the California Assembly just approved a bill BARRING the use of E-verify to ensure that anyone applying to work for the state. Likewise this bill bans municipalities from requiring E-Verify for city and state sub-contracts.
Ok, what? I've heard some pretty hair brained shit come out of Cali, but for a state to basically say we don't want to know who we are hiring and ban the individual cities from doing it for them is WAY out there even for California.
I wonder when people will figure out we aren't really doing immigrants any favors by turning our backs and pretending they aren't really here in millions.

Here's a clue. All the Republican blowhards don't want to know who's legal. They want this workforce to be available, cheap and not protected by labor law.

This is California man, they may have a Republican Governor, but as a state they are way left.
C'mon now this is the state that banned cigarettes and leagalized weed at the same time. I can't be the only one that saw the irony in that one.

I will respectfully disagree. Minutemen are primarily republicans. Most middle class republicans would like to see more checks and balances to control the influx of illegal immigrants. Liberals in general welcome non-english speaking baby droppers with open arms. If we are discussing corporate free labor, then it is irrelevant of your party position, your party is ($).
I live in one of the most PC fucked up states, and it chaps my hide. Arnold is not republican, even if you see a (R) by his name. He bows to the liberal majority quite often. California has been a liberal state for a very long time.
My son takes "language arts" at school, not English. Its still the same class, but someone who was afraid of the word "English" got most schools to change the name. WTF is language arts?
We (California) are the homefront of PC acceptance cowards who allow our State to be governed by people who came here without adhering to the checks and balances already in place. Most of whom are very much liberal.

Arnold was born and raised in a socialist country before he came to America as an adult...What is that old argument...heredity or environment?

The reason the E-Verify system was dumped was not becuase "they don't want to know whose legal." It's becasue the E-Verify system has some MAJOR flaws. For example, people that have obtained legal residents might not have had their info updated in the E-Verify system.

Exactly. Everyone here is jumping up and down without knowing even a tiny bit of the fucking context of the vote. (What a bunch of morons.)

This comes as no surprise to me. CA has sanctuary cities that already openly harbor illegals and do not cooperate with ICE. Nice.
Arnold? What a joke.

That raises an interesting point. If man and woman are equal, what so offensive about using the terms waiter and waitress they are simply more descriptive terms for the same thing.
Thats what REALLY chaps me about political correctness, it's basic hypocrisies. For all the preaching and teaching we get about tolerance and equality our social culture does NOT treat anyone as such.
Why all the tap dancing around words for EQUAL people.

Don't worry. Our kids are growing up knowing nothing but equality, and they have no issue with making gender distinctions separate from qualification distinctions. PC will die out over time because it will become more and more irrelevant.

I meant the people in charge. I should have said "Republican Leadership"

My bad for not realizing "blowhards" is a substitute for "leaders". I should have just made the connection.
