I always think it's puzzling when someone posts that they've had some close encounter with death while riding, but "God was looking out for them" and they survived. Isn't it more likely that S/He was deliberately scaring/harming them? If God was looking out for them why did they have the incident in the first place? God was distracted?!?

It was once explained to me that the devil caused the problem in the first place.
