Clinton as Obama's VP? Bad idea? Good idea?
Now that Clinton has lost the nomination. there's talk that Obama might convice her to get out by offering her the VP slot.
Now is this good for Obama? One argument in favor is that it would bring all the Clinton and Obama supporters together for a strong ticket.
For me I think it would be a bad idea primarily for the stunts she pulled so far. Her anything to get elected plan has disgusted me at times. I don't see how he could put that behind him.
Second You would have the Clinton's in the Administration. How would their egos deal with being in the second slot when it's obvious they felt it should have been theirs in the first place.
Doesn't matter, it won't happen. What President would want a VP with a former President as a spouse?

Although superficially it would seem to heal the DNC division, I think it would hurt him in the general election. Why?
First, it severely dilutes his message of change. To many (especially independents), it would appear that the Clintons would be pulling the strings behind the marionette.
Second, he'd have to worry about the Clintons bumping him off ala Vince Foster
Third, he would constantly be caught in the middle on all policy decisions by the media (eg "This isn't what the Clinton administration would do" or "This policy is directly out of the Clinton playbook, could it be that...") It strikes me that he likes his policies are judged on their own merits
Finally, I doubt he would really want to have to listen to "Bill and I think..."
He's gonna win the whole thing with or without HRC. Why take on her (and Bill's) baggage?
One of the pundits did say something interesting Tuesday night. They were speculating as to whether she'd drop out or keep going and one of them, I don't know if it was Gergan (sp?) or not, said that Hillary would actually do Obama a favor by staying in for a couple of weeks since it wouldn't necessarily look good for Obama to get the nomination and then loose (if by 2 points like in IN) in one or more of the remaining primaries.

Sorry. *shrug* Had she won more convincingly in Indiana it might have been a different story but she got pounded in North Carolina, as expected, but barely won in IN. She's had to loan herself $6 million of her own money. It's just a matter of time now.
