So, who'd deny food to the starving or medical care to the dying?
Anybody? Speak up?
Or else you are just complaining about how the programs are administered.
And they are administered about the same by the Republicans as Democrats...in fact it was Bill Clinton who implemented "Welfare to Work"

me. I watched people starve. Don't even pretend. Don't start that holier than thou bullshit. Or go somewhere people care. It's about the most childish thing I've seen on SBN in ages. I was actually getting to like the people here in terms of debate. You just don't qualify.
Been there, done it. Seen real human suffering on a massive scale. Here to tell you that it's life. Not everyone is well fed and you can't feed them all. Most of the people I watched die in African shitholes died because of religious belief over reality and so I am far less interested in their suffering. You have 100 kids cause you don't believe in contraception, then eat your meager means in the desert till it's dust---and guess what happens?
Seen the results of ethnic cleansing and the horrors of what hatred drives people to do to each other and you haven't got a clue. You're just spouting on the internet and it is at best a comical interlude between more serious topics.
First- learn even the most basic prinicpal of debate. You're only looking foolish among people that know how to have intelligent, reasonable debate. You're not even making a point, only bitching about other's. You make no argument in support of your own views- it's a sophmoric attempt to sit at the grown up table and you've gone way beyond EPIC FAILURE so far.
It's not a personal attack, man. You're just not up to the level of even some of the lesser debators on SBN. I'm all for not agreeing with someone that has a coherent point to make. Several folks here I disagree with and yet respect their point of view as at least intelligent and thought out.
Make the attempt or go away. You contributed nothing all day and it's obvious you aren't even prepared to debate anything, but merely use the internet to spout preconcieved notions you feel make you superior to everyone that dares disagree.
It's tiresome. It's childish. I for one LOVE a good debate and sarge, you ain't bringing any. I've had more persuasive arguments made by scientologists.

I prefer the neutron bomb. It gets rid of all those pesky people quickly and efficiently, but it doesn't make a big hole.

Seems like you're only imagining the best case scenarios from each selection. What about the doctor having to choose between operating on the 2 year-old who's dying from who knows what and the gangbanger who came in with a gun shot wound to the throat?
Or what about the charities that stopped sending food over to some countries because the war chiefs and rebels keep stealing it all from the starving villages every time? Or are we only talking about feeding the starving privileged enough to be born in the USA? And even then, the choice between donating food to the mother who lost everything, including the money she kept under her mattress (don't focus on this in the argument, that's missing the point entirely), versus the crackhead who shits all over everyone and is always pushing to the front of the line at the homeless shelter?

Well, yeah, I was just talking about public assistance in America. Richest nation in the world oughta be able to provide/guarantee basic necessities (Food, clothing, shelter, medical care) to everyone, don't you think?
And of course in any system there is gonna be waste and abuse, that's true of AFDC, Social Security and other programs as well as any large company.
But the waste and abuse just needs to be managed. You don't stop taking care of the citizens anymore than you close a company because a coupla execs abuse their company expense accounts or some people figure out how to misuse the assistance programs.
Sure the crackhead is gonna push to the front of the line sometimes, that don't mean you close the line.

I'll raise my hand. We need more personal responsibility in this country and less shit being simply given away.
BTW, can you stop posting? I really feel that in order to post on SBN, one should have completed at least 8th grade.
