You must not know much about Germany, they have a huge Muslim refugee population living there, as does the rest of Northern Europe, and has for the last 15 years.

Oh you mean much the same as those christians that had the words "in god we trust" put on our money and "under god" inserted into the pledge of allegence in the 1930s?
Religion is and always will be a problem as far as Im concerned, I hate all organized religion.

this country was based on a form of Christianity, but not a specific one. pilgrims came over for religious freedoms. of course this was still back in the times where Christianity considered Slavery right or that muslims were not even people.

EEEEEE buzzer goes off, fail.
IT was NOT found on christianity, that is a HUGE myth. Which is why "creator" is stated and Not GOD anywhere in the constitution.
Church records show that in the south for example less than 30 percent of the population were christian, at that time frame.

I appreciate the links, when I did a google earlier I only came up with the one story which I posted on here.
There is sooo much propaganda on the net that I believe almost nothing unless its from a credible source, and then only partially.

for some reason i believe foreign media over america media. i have always struggled using google, i type in a search for something and completely different things pop up, type in the same thing at Yahoo! and exactly what i am looking for.

as for this country being found by christians, what were the beliefs of our fore fathers? mainly the signers of the Declaration of Indepence and the Constititution and Bill of Rights? yesi know that was 300 years later then the first arrival of pilgrims, but you brought up that portion.

I like BBC, I even read Aljazeera on occasion, and sometimes the Bankok post. depends on my mood, but I learned living overseas that we have just as much propoganda bullshit as everywhere else, so I figure if you filter thru enough differnt media sources, somewhere inbetween, lays the truth.

I am cooking dinner now I will post up a great book on the revolutionary war when IM done.

I can see that happening here if we were under the thumb of a brutal occupier.

I'm pretty sure it also happened in Europe during WWII, but I know we have some pretty sharp war historians here who can tell us for sure.
