Default Repubs Desperate for Clinton

All signs seem to point to a right wing desperation to do everything they can to make Clinton the nominee. Why do you think they imagine she'd be easier to beat?

Where there is a powerful R there is a line of special interests groups. Clinton will possibly be easier to "work" with? More or less the same ole same ole.

She has a whole lot of people who hate her. Obama doesn't yet. She is the boogey man (boogey woman?) who gets a lot of pavlovian responses out of the Republican constituency. Obama isn't yet. If Obama is running against McCain, there's the possiblity the Hillary haters could vote for Obama instead of McCain or stay home. If Hillary is running, they will vote for McCain, because they hate her so much.

They would also have Bill to kick around again. Remember how much they enjoyed digging up dirt on Bill? We would get more of the same. They could also argue the anti-dynastic thing, even though they seem fine with multiple Bush league candidates.

I don't like her and I sure would rather see Obama in the White House, but I sure don't understand the irrational hatred she inspires in some people.

It's simple. Obama's political life is new compared to Clinton's and I'm not so sure that the GOP is necessarily pining for Clinton more than Obama right about now.

We are starting to learn more about Obama now..

What the GOP wants is a continued bloodletting

personally I don’t believe that for one second, you have that all wrong... they would MUCH rather have Obama, Obama doesnt stand a chance IMO, I think hillarys chances are better then Obamas even though she doesnt stand a chance herself.

a question to you would be what makes you and the media think he is soo electible to the general populace of this country? This is going to be way to easy for mccain, I could be wrong but that is my prediction,

This would explain it except that Karl Rove was doing his best to anoint her many months ago. This isn't new.

You explain why you've got a hard on about him. I've been asking this for a good long time now. You're obsessed with reporting any little bit of bad news that comes Obama's way. Why is that?

You may be the only guy in the country who honestly believes that McCains got any sort of lock on the nomination.

As much as I hate hillary's policies, I do want her in simply for the fact that she is huge on bringing awareness to our Heritage as far as our buildings are concerned. Our country will lose these important buildings without more awareness being brought forward, so ya, I can tolerate 4 years of her nazi ass if it saves these buildings.

I don't really think that they believe she will be easier to beat, but that a Clinton presidency will allow them a better chance to survive for the next four years and try again. If they cannot have their candidate (and they can't) then the next best thing is a maintinence of the status quo.

I can sense your anger, not sure why. wow, obsessed... you couldn’t be more wrong, I do wonder why you all have turned against the clintons the way you have...

I also wonder how you could blast Ron Paul the way you did back in Jan about something he didnt even write in one of those newsletters from 20 years ago – you posted endless shit about that, yet you give obama a free ride for sitting and listing to his rascist pastor ramble on for years... his speech was great (and I did watch the whole thing) but he did not ONCE denounce Wright, think for ONE second what you would be saying about anyone running in the rethuglican party right now if the shoes were switched....

I find this all incredibly interesting too say the least, I have always been fascinated by politics - when was the last time we have had this interesting of a primary with either party? Brokaw got into this last night and the stuff he was talking about was way before my time.

Mccain will be just more of Bush believe me I am not looking forward to that. I do think mccain has it on lock as you put it, I could be totally wrong, that is the way I see it, the neocons will once again prevail… I am no happier about it then you, but for different reasons and at least I can see how f’kd up it is on BOTH sides.

I would be lying if I didn’t think the hypocrisy against the Clintons right now wasn’t hilarious.

Still no straight answer huh? Well then, I'll draw my own conclusions.

if your tunnel vision makes you feel better go for it... guess you dont care to discuss since it doesnt fit into your preconcieved notions of how everything is and should be according to your world.

Obama will be a difficult target to hit.
One he's african american. Thus any attack could be twisted to come across as racist.
Second he's new and well liked by most. It's difficult to attack some one every one likes.
