i'm not a fan of the media much. aside from the political view points, the pro/cons on the current middle east conflict, and the gruesome headlines for viewership, i really could care less about what the uber rich and celebrities are driving, spending their money on etc.

Why don't you do some research of the link between insurgency levels/attacks and media coverage if you want an example. There are far too many to ever list (hence my original statement), but you should get the idea. Mainstream media is your CNNs, NBCs, ABCs, FOXs, New York Times', etc. Not to say that other outlets don't share some of the blame, but these are the biggest offenders.

Our media (you know, the one we are talking about) only highlights "news" that portrays us in a negative light. Not to say that it should be covered up, but when was the last time you heard something positive? Is that to say that nothing positive ever happens there? You argue that they are responsible, so now that tells us alot about how you see your own country...the same way it is portrayed on the news, right?
