i don't like my choices for 2008 (SHOCKER!)
seriously though ... out of my choices for the republican primaries, i barely like only one candidate. i feel that if i vote for him, then my vote would be wasted b/c not many people are going to vote for him and i should focus on the candidates likely to win. i.e. mccain, romney, or huckabee.
but then i also think if go with that rationale, then i am letting the possible majority sway my decision.
nevermind ... decision made. i'm sticking with my own vote.
thanks for visiting.

It's politics......we are fucked no matter who gets elected.

There is no loss in voting your real choice in the primary. If it helps your guy win, then great. If it helps your guy get his message out and influence the rest, this is also good. If nobody else votes for him, so what? One of the other guys wins, which is what happens anyway if you waste your vote on someone you don't actually want to vote for. Meanwhile, if you vote for one of those "leading candidates", that guy you didn't want to vote for sees you vote for him anyway, and thinks you approve of what he's doing. Or doesn't care whether you approve, since he got your vote anyway and you're obviously OK with following the herd.

excellent points ... i did not think of the point you mentioned about voting for a leading candidate and for him to actually think i voted for him b/c i believed in his message(s).
i don't like "following the herd" at all b/c it seems that the "herd" sways too much depending on what a candidate's viewpoint is on sunday and then how the candidate adjusts his/her viewpoint on monday. in the end i went with MY choice.

If you're gonna vote bring friends with you. I'm bringing mad heads with me to the February 12th Virginia primary. Ron Paul is taking that shit to the felt.

You should vote for who the candidate you most agree with. Don't let anyone like the media tell you otherwise. Don't believe this "wasted vote" propaganda. If everyone voted for who they truly agreed with, and not who has been force fed down our throats, then this whole idea of a "wasted vote" probably would have never come to be.

Hey you got a write-in in Michigan so just write in PacoPepe FTW on your ballot
Vote for who you most agree with in the primaries. The general election is a long way off and lots more to debate/discuss between now and then.
