Default Taliban takes over

Expect headlines pretty soon that read, "US troops resurging in Afghanistan to fight strengthening Taliban."

I know, I know GW said we defeated the Taliban. He didn't mean EVERYWHERE in Afghanistan, geez. So far they've taken a fort and another Pakistani position in just few days. Pretty good work for a defeated army. And the Taliban IS an organized army no matter what the spin doctors call them. This is not good.

Official: Pakistani troops abandon post - Yahoo! News

I see a daisy cutter in thier near future. This could actually be good news, if they are congregating in a central point to fight. Makes it more economical for the USAF to take them out.

Looks like my news was a little late.
Thousands more U.S. troops poised to go to Afghanistan - CNN.com

Just heard on the radio its a green light. Afghanistan is a lot less friendly than Iraq not to mention the extreme terrain and weather. I hope our boys and girls get everything they need.

The events took place on the 16th and 17th... Precisely the fort was attacked on the night of the 15th into the morning of the 16th. The other post was abandoned on the 17th. Step away from the time machine.

Yep a reason to tell Pakistan to either step up or we are coming in and making sure the Taliban do not keep using Pakistan as a cloak. That area of Pakistan is really not even Pakistan...if you know what I mean. The Pakistan army has no control over that area, nor do they care about those people in that area. They just don't want to look like fools for not being able to handle the problem within their boarders.
