Politics & ReligionWell Since every damn forum has one. Might as well leave it out there. This place is loosely moderated and should not be entered if you're weak of heart.
It is evident, then, that the proper purpose of law is to use the power of its collective force to stop this fatal tendency to plunder instead of to work. All the measures of the law should protect property and punish plunder. Frederic Bastiat
As you can see this test says otherwise but I simply don't trust John McCain.
I want another leader like GWB and my choice is apparent in the pic below
Do you really like Thompson or just trolling?

This one actually got it right. That's unusual; I've seen a lot of these over the years, and they are rarely very accurate. So much depends on the wording of the questions and the choice of questions.

wait- I just looked at the poll. Didn't anyone notice that THREE of the five possible answers to the very first question were the same exact thing??? Except they misspell "Withdrawl" in a couple.
Really. I am looking at it right now. 3 of 5 answers are identical.
Who ever created this 'poll' is a freaking moron. Who ever got past the first question without laughing out loud and closing the window for it isn't much better.
I'll keep looking further into the 'poll' but when it's that poorly done on the first question- then how much stock are you really gonna put in it?
Edit- took me no more than a couple more questions to decide this was a totally worthless, ill prepared questionaire.
PhilB is dead on the money about the questions being stupid.
getting to the question about what should be done about subprime lending.....
Several of the questions aren't mutually exclusive- meaning you could answer yes to several. A few fire off a list of things, none of them related so if you agree with the first couple things, but not the rest- what do you answer?
And alongside specific remedies, comes general answers like "Tighter Lending Control"....
That right there is the same worthless answer politicians give. Say you want something with absolutely no specific plan to do anything.
The fact these all show up along side each other in a single question tells me that the author of the questionaire has no idea what they are doing.
This is an amateur attempt at best. If it represents Minnesota Public Radio, then they all need to go back to Journalism 101.
I gave up there. It's not worth the time to tear apart any further, it's already proven to be poorly done, and a general waste of time to try to answer.
Mine came back with the choice I had made - no surprises. If most people are surprised by what the poll returns they must not know their candidate very well. The poll simply asks questions about how you stand on issues and matches them with a candidate who closely resembles your choices. That said, some of the questions were stupid.
