I haven't finished it yet, and even if he agrees with me (I'm hoping RP gets the GOP nod), I really don't care what the soldiers want. They get to vote just like we do, so their opinions matters little more.
Now, I'm assuming he's pro-Paul, or else you wouldn't have put this vid up, but most of the time, the "soldier's view" on the war is usually for the war. Well, duh, they've been brainwashed for years about their views on it, and they are constantly told that they are making a difference.

I'd have to disagree with you on that. If the "soldier's view" was for the war, then Ron Paul wouldn't have been leading in military contributions, John McCain would.

I don't like to comment on political issues as they are my own but this one deserves something.
First of all we never went to war against Iraq to defend our country against terrorism. If anyone believes otherwise, you need to do a lot of reading and educate yourself on the subject and world matters. 9-11 and Iraq has as much in common as you and a toad.
Asking our soldiers to go fight in a country that has nothing to do with our security is ludacris. Believing that Iraq had a hand in 9-11 is just plain stupid and asinine.
We can spend the next 100 years there and we will not win the war. It's impossible to win a war against a country where the civilians are fighting you. We call them terrorists but the reality is they are fighting for their country. We need to get our ass out of that mess and bring our soldiers home. No one should have to give up their life to save face for us.
Fight for a cause that is worth while. This is not a fight that we should have been in, in the first place. I can go on an on about this but it's a mute point. I hope some day someone will have the balls to bring the Bush administration for war crimes and prosecute every one of these murderers and hold them responsible for all the lives lost because of this atrocity.

Look, the country is divided on this subject, neither candidiate is being 100% honest about the situation, so beating each up on this thread is pointless. I think you need to stay until the government can govern itself, and thats going to take a little longer. Soldiers sign up of their own freewill, just like a police officer or fireman, etc etc.
Huckabee means that it needs to be stable before you can pull out completely, but didnt clearly state that...
Ron Paul is not being honest as it simply not that easy to just wake up the next morning and have all GI's home in a matter of weeks.
Experts have said it would take at least 18 months if we decided tomorrow to get 100% of our people and or assets out of there.....(allowing all the Shia's to commit genocide on the Sunni's and Kurds and destabilizing the entire region)
So they say what they need to say, in such a way that appeals to their backers.....period........end of story.....
I support this GI, but I think he should have read his points from a written statement as his is very hard to follow, not an articulate message by any means....he is all over the place and the video is way too long too.....
What neither one is saying and what the truth is simply that this war with Radical Islam will be fought for probably another 100-300 plus years on many fronts, it is a war to perserve our freedom, our country and our liberty to think anything else is just myopic and or stupid....
Islamic Jihad training camps were there, and now they arent, they have moved once again, to Africa, Asia, Pakistan.....the list is so long it would take paragraphs to list them all...
This is not a republican or democrat issue, its an AMERICAN ISSUE, like it or not, this battle is for real and isnt going away anytime soon....noting of course that Islam the fastest growing religion in the world....These Jihadists have hijacked a religion warped the message of the Koran to justify their war.....
