This is P&R, not General Sportbikes. Nobody cares.

Actually, I'm going to have to agree with him. You're condescending without any substantive points.

Let's not regress to name calling. Be the bigger person and start arguing your points. But you do come across as a little under educated when it comes to politics if you think that every Republican candidate is pro-2A. Just IMHO.

I guess you assume it was all about the oil. Oil which we don't even see one cent from.

Sadam had weapons of Mass Destruction he used them on the Kurds to the north thus the no fly zones were setup, if Sadam got rid of the WMD...he should of let the inspectors in. The UN talked for to many years, took to long and gave him too many chances. Russia did not like Sadam either, but they were in business together. Of course you won't support a war against a country you get Billions from in trade.

I know, I know you are going to say this had nothing to do with the reason for declearing war in Iraq after 9/11. Maybe you are right in your own mind. When you look at everything our CIA thought Sadam had WMD's, we know for sure there was a meeting between Al Qaeda and Sadams Government. They obviously did not meet to just say HI and have a friendly chat. Al Qaeda has been looking for WMD's to buy and if they can get them they will use them at some point. Plus there is NO reason why Sadam would not sell them WMD's if he still had them (although I believe they were long since shipped out to Syria), thus is why the inspectors could never find anything in Iraq although we do know he had them at some point and had programs for their development.

The trouble I find most with one of your post is how you say the Citizens of Iraq do not want us there. When in truth they like us there (have you been to Iraq?). And no I am not a Soldier but my Father is a Diplomat and went there to check the new Embassy out and said the local Citizens love us. I do have an Uncle that is in the Reserves (FL Attorney) he has enlisted from 9/11 to today still in Iraq. He keeps going back, because he believes in the rebuilding, and in how things are going. He also says the locals are great.

Really the problem with Iraq is the boarders. They are soooo long and very hard to totally close off. Plus it doe snot help that Iran would liek to see us fail in Iraq, why because they then could go in and claim Iraq because if you might recall Iraq & Iran had a long bloody war. Iran claims Iraq to be theirs. Hard to rebuild a country when Iran is there providing weapons and letting terroist across their country to go into Iraq to cause trouble.

I think our administrator over looked Iran, they did not expect them to support outsiders and hamper the rebuilding process by suppling the differant tribal factions with weapons.

Either way what do you want to do? We can either keep debating 9/11 which is long gone, or look at the future and say what are we going to do now! Either way we are there for a long time, if we just pull out like some say we should then that leaves a void for Iran to fill and Syria.

I am open to a first strike policy against nations that are extreme. Better them then me that ends up dead. Iran has two Nuclear programs. The one the Military controls, and the one that is being used for a power plant. I am 100% sure of this because I have a few Iranian friends (brothers) that go to and from Iran freely because their father is the one building the Civilian Nuclear power plant while the Iranian Military builds the other one for the bomb. My friends said they thought we would of striked the facility way before now. They said they were scarred to be in the place and so was the other workers...because you know at some point we or Isreal will take the places out...which will probably be the good one and not the military controlled one. Then Iran can say look what you did, send the inspectors in and they will say yeah this was a ligit Power plant. Oh, well what are you going to do....

I myself like Ron Paul, my father likes Ron Paul....Ron Paul is for smaller Government which my father believes we should have (funny how that is coming from a Government employee, huh!!!).

Oh, well maybe Aliens caused 9/11

Excellent post, fully agreed.

The main point that people need to keep in mind is what was Bush supposed to do while Saddam defied the inspection process?

Saddam defied the decrees of his surrender in GW1 from the word go. If Americans refuse to allow the White House the right to enforce a diplomatic end of a war I say we should just mow down our enemies and sell off their assets Little humor there.

My candidate Fred Thompson dropped out so I am currently out of a candidate. Ron Paul has always intrigued me but in my opinion he would make an awful wartime POTUS.

Since we appear to view Iraq in a similar light why would you vote for Dr. Paul knowing he would unplug from Iraq?

Jumping in here -- I actually agree with your first point here. I was reasonably in favor of going into Iraq at the beginning, and have not been saying that we never should have gone. But once we ascertained the real level of threat and dealt with it, we should have left. This happened a long time ago. SO even if Bush was right to go there (as opposed to feeding everyone false info to make it seem like a good idea, which interpretation there is also good evidence for), it's *still* well past time to unplug now.

Five years and counting. I was totally looking forward to leaving after Saddam was apprehended. Not only has he been captured, he was tried, sentenced and executed.
