Exclamation Hacking Democracy

"This cautionary documentary exposes the vulnerability of computers - which count approximately 80% of America's votes in county, state and federal elections - suggesting that if our votes aren't safe, then our democracy isn't safe either. The documentary exposes the dangers of voting machines used during America's mid term and presidential elections. Electronic voting machines count approximately 90% of America's votes in county, state and federal elections. The technology is also increasingly being used across the world, including in Canada, the United Kingdom, Europe and Latin America. Filmed over three years this exposé follows the investigations of a team of citizen activists and hackers as they take on the electronic voting industry, targeting the Diebold corporation."

Nothing good will come of it. There has been election fraud since elections were first thought up. Only the means of cheating is changing.

The best thing one can do it hack into the program while the presidental voting is going on. And change the votes so its something ridiculous. Like say the whole USA population voted for only one person.

Write in candidates unite: As long as you're "hacking in votes" vote PacoPepe

I promise to balance the budget, simplify income tax while lowering taxes, and cutting all the stupid programs. No you may not have 10000000 to put up a display of an inverted cross soaked in urine and call it art or any other nonsense whether offensive or not. Art subsidies, gone. Healthly enough to work? Work, dammit. Freebies, gone. Middle East, <pushes button>, gone.

Not necessarily. You could use some randomized value and then assign ceiling limits to the values so you take a portion of the precision and then filter this value to a candidate. You could then use some other algorithm to shape the results as you'd wish. It would be completely subtle if you just look at the results. Better than the whole voting population voting for one candidate, IMHO.

I guess.

But election rigs have been going on for quite awhile.

Google "John F. Kennedy" and "election scandal".

In the singular, no. At least not for purposes of impacting a state or national election. In the aggregate it certainly does.

Really doenst matter anyhow, we use the electoral college, so your electorals can vote for whoever in the hell they want. Usually they always go with popular opinion in there state, but they can vote for whoever they want.

The electoral candidate can in some instances. Sometimes they are obligated by law to not change their vote. I forget what states where this applies.

I know that deviations are very rare.
