Default Ron Paul on other message boards

There are a lot of supporters of Dr. Paul on this website, but for those of you that frequent other boards, are there many supporters there?

I'm trying to introduce him on another board, www.nissanoffroad.net. For some reason, just the mention of Ron Paul and a few people on there get hostile. I made a post about him back in June I think, while some people took interest, a few resorted to name calling and firmly believe the guy is a kook, but they can't ever back it up.

Anyhow, I had an idea. We already "money bomb" the elections, "bomb" reporters with emails who report on RP unfairly, join groups in the masses to support his cause all across the internet, etc, etc, so why not have other supporters silently join other message boards to help existing members introduce and promote RP in a positive manner?

His message alone is strong enough and needs no support, it's just that RP is so brutally honest and people aren't used to it. So the obstacle is getting people over that hump so that they will actually want to learn about him. And the best way to do that is by a strong show of support for him. That means, lots of people on message boards that talk positively about him.

What do you think? Hopefully I've explained it well enough. But message boards are very effective in getting messages spread, and I think this approach, if done correctly, could be very effective.

Well, he is rather kook-ish and it has nothing to do with honesty, integrity or intelligence which he has in spades.

It's sad that so many people think a guy who wants to limit federal gov't, get rid of our empire status, and eliminate overbearing income taxes along with getting us back to how this country is supposed to be is a kook. If those are eccentric and "crazy" ideas, then we are in bad shape.

People that resort to name calling are more than likely just brainwashed by the neocons. I admit that I use to be brainwashed as well... I don't know what happened, but I somehow snapped out of it.

If you guys that call him a kook would just open your mind and take time to look at what we are doing and where we are going as a nation you would realize that he is not a kook. Don't let the same old corporate backed, neocons tell you what to believe. Study the situation and draw your own conclusion.

I was never brainwashed by the neo-cons. I've never liked them, but I hung on tight to the Democrats because they were the only hope that I saw. After hearing RP speak and reading more and thinking about things even more, I realized that the Democrats aren't as good as I thought they were. And I realize that the old Republican way is actually pretty good. I still prefer Democrats to the neo-cons, and would vote just about any Democrat into office before I would any neo-con. But now that RP is here and has a really, really good shot at winning the nomination, I'm stuck on him like white on rice

So, any thoughts on my idea about other message boards? I know a good place to start

Even though its gonna be easy. The biggest loudmouth over there is basing his argument on the fact that he doesn't think we have the infrastructure or money to support all of our military on our own country (you know, cuz RP wants our military to come back home). Says it will cost too much to keep them all in our own backyard!

It's gonna be fun making him look silly

So you want to promote a candidate by having people troll message boards. If I saw a bunch of folks with really low post counts promoting a candidate on here, I would not have a good feeling about that candidate.

If you intend to help RP please don't make others look silly. Be informed about the subject you are speaking about and be respective.

+1.

Just go buy a shirt and wear it around town. RP already has a ton of internet supporters. It's time to expand into the real world.

Here's the big PR problem for RP the candidate, it's his views on entitlement programs. They benefit aging Americans who have a higher ROI than younger Americans. What's more, is that this group (seniors) vastly outnumber younger voters.

Paul is pretty spot on. That's his problem. His perspective on how to restore this nation to greatness, is actually correct. Which, ironcially is his problem.

I'd tank the idea of blasting boards. You need to go offline with Paul's message.

Then fucking write him in. You don't have to do what Big D an Big R seemingly compel you to do.

I talk to some of my closest friends about politics. Only one votes. And he's a big war pig Republican (much to my chagrin). At any rate, everyone else likes him, but don't want to vote for him. Because he doesn't stand a chance. Read that again.

I've also come to the conclusion that you really can't get that point through to anyone that doesn't already understand it. Not much you can do about those who look around the room before raising their hand. Worse yet are those that shout loudly but fail to show up.

My biggest hope for Ron Paul is that he gather enough support to get the other candidates (or better the freaking media who have been telling us who "has a chance" for weeks now) to take his positions more seriously.
