… to kill people. I carry a gun to keep from being killed.
I don’t carry a gun to scare people. I carry a gun because sometimes this world can be a scary place.
I don’t carry a gun because I’m paranoid. I carry a gun because there are real threats in the world.
I don’t carry a gun because I’m evil. I carry a gun because I have lived long enough to see the evil in the world.
I don’t carry a gun because I hate the government. I carry a gun because I understand the limitations of government.
I don’t carry a gun because I’m angry. I carry a gun so that I don’t have to spend the rest of my life hating myself for failing to be prepared.
I don’t carry a gun because my sex organs are too small. I carry a gun because I want to continue to use those sex organs for the purpose for which they were intended for a good long time to come.
I don’t carry a gun because I want to shoot someone. I carry a gun because I want to die at a ripe old age in my bed, and not on a sidewalk somewhere tomorrow afternoon.

I don’t carry a gun to make me feel like a man. I carry a gun because men know how to take care of themselves and the ones they love.
I don’t carry a gun because I feel inadequate. I carry a gun because unarmed and facing three armed thugs, I am inadequate.
I don’t carry a gun because I love it. I carry a gun because I love life and the people who make it meaningful to me.
I went to one of their 3-day courses. The guy is something of a salesman (he's also pitching his high-security community real-estate), but he's pretty careful to keep the two apart, and he certainly knows his stuff.
Have the T-shirt - "The gun is a tool - you are the weapon." Unfortunately for some of us klutzes, the reverse is true. I still remember inadvertently removing the slide from the frame during a Type 3 clearing drill. Oops.
Here in the Milwaukee area we have one of the highest murder rates (per capita) in the country. Yet people still fight CCW in wisco. I have no idea why. In fact, there has never been a cop killed in the US by a gun owner using their own registered gun.<---Just a little fact

well put..... this is also true of the majority of cities. This is the point that lawmakers don't want to deal with. They just feel that people steal guns, so making them unavailable to the general public will stop the theft of guns, and therefore make them unavailable to the criminals.....right...just like illegal drugs are unavailable because they are illegal?
They know that guns are being sold out of cars on the street, but do nothing to stop it. They know who the dealers are that are putting guns into the hands of criminals, but do nothing to stop it. I am starting to believe that they want the crime rate high, because that way we are all kept off guard, and need to turn to the lawmakers for help.
