Politics & ReligionWell Since every damn forum has one. Might as well leave it out there. This place is loosely moderated and should not be entered if you're weak of heart.
Emm....what does christianism has to do with the east???? Most of them are muslims as far as I know....with the exception of Israel and Palestine I think
Another reason to pay no mind, no debate on an area that clearly wants to remain as a vestige of our barbaric, uncivilized past.
I had said that, but with different words and Bush said I hate brown people.

Take my money by force on the street, and it's called Theft. Make a law that takes it by force, and it's called Benevolence.
Yes, because the picture in the article clearly shows a 4th century Toyota Camry.
I think he was referring to a Draconian legal system not their modes of transportation.
Let's keep it in context.

If you two are right, and IF god exists, he is at BEST a kid shaking an ant farm.
That would explain earthquakes, no?

I would have to agree that we shouldn't be the world's police force. I would actually like a little more isolationism. But it's impossible to be too isolated with today's global markets and economies.

Well how isolated?
Certainly a policy of isolation probably culminated into two different world wars.
Why I find this interjection absolutely hilarious...I am not sure. Its probably because of the direct correlation between the inappropriateness of an action and its humor value (to me anyway).

Isolationism would be bad. But there are many ways to not be isolated, to form connections with other countries and cultures, other than warfare or stationing military forces everywhere.
Trade, commerce, travel, diplomacy, to name a few. Neighborliness instead of nightsticks. Being the world's cop isn't working.

Phil we do that now and it is working as best as it can.
W@hat the worlds cop needs is some other nations to give a hand like Germany & France for instance.
We don't do that very well now, since (a) our "diplomacy" is generally based on the concept of being the world's cop, (b) our travel is subject to all sorts of restrictions, regulations, and monitoring by the government, and (c) our commerce and trade is subject to all sorts of restrictions, taxes, tariffs, regulations, and other government micromanagement, not to mention the WTO and other "free trade" organizations that do anything but encourage actual free trade.
Maybe we ought to work on that a bit. Nah, you're right - much better to just throw our money and the lives of our soldiers into every rathole in the world and see how many we can fill up that way.
