My cousin's a police seargent. He'd write his own mother a ticket if she broke the law. These guys should be reprimanded for their behavior. It's sad this is so common.

Wow, wtf? If this is real; they deserve a fucking smack in the mouth. Maybe this will teach them a lesson, if they're a speeding cop and they want to be left off, so should a motorcycle late for class.

*shrug* I wouldn't expect the general public to understand the mentality that a lot of police officers have anyways..

Cops here don't write cops tickets and i get it, i believe they give fireman the courtesy too. We have a couple ride with us and when a group of ten of us got pulled over, we took off they stayed and got us all off, oh we are no longer allowed in that towns jurisdiction. lol

I love reading all those responses.

All kinds of the EXACT excuses we use but they are upset when they don't work for them.

This is the exact kind of bullshit that makes me not respect law enforcement.
The laws are there, but obviously THEY don't believe they apply to everybody. Bullshit.
They either apply to everyone, or they don't. There is no "professional courtesy" when it comes to revenue generating citations.
This is why there is a division between "them" and "us", and they wonder why civilians are getting tired of this shit.
"Boo-hoo! You can't ticket ME! I'm a cop, too!"
Maybe you should think about that next time you're hinding in the fucking bushes with your little radar gun and ticket book.

On 09/17/06 my wife was driving through the town of Stockerton PA when she got pulled over on Rt. 191 by patrolman ( shield # 5107 )of the Stokerton P.D. in North Hampton County PA. He informed my wife that he stopped her for speeding. He went through the routine of asking for the paper work and she presented all items without question. My wife then presented Off. #5107 with a Family Brass card that are given to immediate Family members. Off. #5107 then asked her what it was and she explained, his reply was " Oh that's New Jersey , we don't honor that over here." Off. #5107 then returned to his patrol car when my wife called me immediately on her cell phone to tell me what was happening. I told her to get his attention to come back to her car. As Off.#5107 came back to her car I was still on the phone as I could hear his every word. My wife explained to Off.#5107 that her husband is a P.O. & that I was on the phone wanting to talk to him. I heard him loud & clear say " I don't want to talk to your husband ". My wife also told him " but my husband does the same job as you ". Obviously we don't do the same job because a real COP would never do what this idiot did. My wife informed me that he gave her the speeding ticket. My wife then told me that after giving her the ticket he walked around to the front of her car to look at the windshield where my P.B.A. shield was displayed in the window, came back to my wife's window and told her Oh your husband works in a dangerous town E.P.D. WOW!!!!!!
Well you could imagine how upset I was. I was so upset that I wanted to take a ride to see this A - Whole in person, but we all know how this could have turned out. Well I made a call the next day to there P.D. to see if I could talk to this idiot, but of course he wasn't working. I wanted to talk to his P.B.A. representative but I quickly found out they are not P.B.A. and they have no rep. The off. who answered the phone was a supervisor and I asked him to have Off. #5107 give me a call ASAP. When I got a call from Off. #5107 he was trying to shmooze me and explain to me a bunch of B.S. and how my wife deserved the ticket. I asked him why he didn't let her off with a verbal warning or a written warning . His reply was as if she committed the crime of the Century, his exact words "Oh but I couldn't do that she was speeding ". Obviously he doesn't know how to use discretion. I asked Off. #5107 if they're P.D. has verbal warnings or written warnings , his reply " Of course we do ". My come back was then why didn't you Off. #5107, he replied again with the crime of the Century expression, " BUT NOT FOR THAT ". I couldn't deal with this idiot anymore and I knew I was wasting my breath, so I left him with some food for thought. " There might be one day when you make an M.V. stop and things quickly turn into a SH*T sandwich and your nearest back-up is miles away, lets hope some Good citizen or an off duty COP ( a real COP not like yourself Off. #5107 ) is close by that could back you up." Obviously Off. #5107 is not part of our Brotherhood.
These are the kinds of cops that get zero respect from me.

Thamas Pain wrote in one of the Federalist papers
"No man is above the law"

Why are these cops bitching ?? They broke the law, they should deal with the same penalties. So because there a cop they can drive better then us ? What makes a cop a better driver then me ?
Since I went through Bootcamp can I carry an m16 rifle with me everywhere?

I hate tickets as much as anyone. I also hate cops that act like you're a scumbag just because they caught you. But ragging on all cops because a few of them bitch about lack of professional courtesy on the job is no different than everyone hating sportbikers because of the assholes doing wheelies on the highways.

Personally, I'm fine with their "look the other way" policy so long as they're not letting each other off the hook for reckless shit.

Now for any cops on this thread, can I get a "get out of jail free" card for showing my support?!?
