Default Select a Candidate

I don't know how accurate this is....probably none at all...at least I hope.

Anyways...

Select a Candidate 2008

Answer a few questions and it ranks the Presidential Candidates as to how you answered the questions.

Duncan Hunter is my candidate according to the poll. Not sure what that means though...

It is interesting (and a bit sad) that several questions did not have choices that were anywhere near mine. For the second question on immigration, for example, *every* choice involved tightening border security, and none involved reforming immigration to make the process rational and easier.

It also left out a lot of issues that matter, like reducing government spending and cutting taxes (beyond making the piddling 2001/2003 cuts permanent). And like states rights. And like gun owners rights. And so on.

And it told me that my best match was John McCain. Which is, well, just plain wrong.

So I'd not trust this much at all.

The only thing it did right was pick someone under the republican heading. Other than that, not quite.

I always hate these type of surveys. They end up shoehorning you into these proverbial pens. It's already been mentioned, but they seemingly never request sufficient questions or give enough answers. Most of the questions' answers are purely dogmatic.

I got Rudy Giuliani, Gilmore and then Hunter, in that order.

Last on the list was Kucinich, Richardson, and then Gravel.
