I think it would be interesting to see who contributed to what campaign. If you actually have rational belief in a cause, I'd think that you're much more likely to contribute. I'm not saying that contributing defines your belief as rational, though
I've contributed to Dr. Paul, and plan to again in the future. I'm thinking of it as an investment.
It's not uncommon for many institutional and private contributors to donate to several campaigns, sometimes to candidates seeking different party nods.
Also, I think the magic number is $2000/year where you need to file. Your employer's name, and your name are reported, but I could be wrong on the dollar amount.
I meant individuals, not special interest groups or corporations. Like people on the board for instance.
Do the Dr. Paul supporters actually follow through? Do other people contribute a cent? Or is there lots of talk but nothing proactive? Instead of contributing fiscally, does anyone put signs up? Bumper stickers? Engaging conversation offline? Who do you support and what are you doing to help them get elected?

Well, for me, I've got a Ron Paul sticker on the bike and one on the Alfa, plus my wife's got two magnetic signs on the MB. I just got a yard sign, but haven't put it up yet. I've worked a booth for Ron Paul at the local gun show, and attended several demonstrations and rallies, most recently for Constitution Day on 17Sep. And I've sent in money and plan to send more.
There are a lot of people who are really active on this. I know quite a few who have done a lot more than I have.

I refrain from putting political stickers on my vehicles. My fear is that you may become a target for road rage. Considering both my family and I use our vehicles on the weekends and holidays, I try to mitigate any threat to my property (and more importantly, the occupants).
With regards to engaging in conversation offline, you liable to get shoehorned into some category that may not be honestly reflective of your thoughts/beliefs/values.
