Ron Paul
With everyone here being pretty avid internet users, I though I'd ask if everyone knows who Ron Paul is? Is he your choice for candidate, or are you most likely going to vote for another candidate?

I'll be voting for him if he's on the ballot in some manner.

I'm a big supporter. Pop down to the Politics and Religion sub-forum of this one (where this thread I'm sure will shortly be moved to); there are a number of threads there about his candidacy.

I like the idea of returning the focus to the free market system. I don't know what candidate would accomplish this best, and I'm sure that the effectiveness of any Republican candidate would at least correlate with how their respective party does in the Congressional seating.
So if it's Paul, Thompson, Romney, Giuliani, et all, there's an obvious probability that they're going to have to work with (or through) a Democratic-led Congress.
I'm interested in Thompson right now. I think I'm going to do more research on him. Paul is exciting in his own right though.
Paul's view of government is great, less is better. His biggest downfall is his "mind our own business" mantra. Isolation wont protect this country. He must believe that the muslim extremists hate us because we are in Iraq.

I'm not feeling it. Sorry, but a buddist in the family doesn't make you open-minded. It just means you're bangin' a buddist.

They don't hate us because we're over there, at least not that by itself.
But if you believe they hate us "because we're free," and happy or whatever other Kool-Aid they try to shove down our throats, then you're sadly mistaken.
