Default Munich to US: "Don't Send Your CIA Thugs out into Europe's Streets"

http://www.spiegel.de/international/...463765,00.html

"In a historic first, German prosecutors have issued arrest warrants for 13 suspected CIA agents thought to have illegally kidnapped a German citizen as part of the war on terror. The decision has been universally welcomed by German commentators."

This is pretty interesting. From my own readings, CIA is never directly involved in the thuggery, they usually contract that out to organized crime syndicates. Like the mafia. Assassinations of people the CIA wants to get rid of, and other black ops are almost always carried out by these crime organizations. Even serial killers will be contracted, Henry Lee Lucas being an example.

Damn, anyone know where to get an application? Does anyone honestly believe that the Germans will ever make the first arrest on this...Especially the CIA....Come on?

Like Germany has any moral standing when it comes to rounding up citizens off the streets! At least our boys were trying to prevent the slaughter of innocents.

And our boys were rounding people up out of Africa before that, which makes alot of sense when comparing present-day morality. Doesn't it? Oh, nevermind, I think we're wrong wickgixxer.

So I guess you are saying it was OK for Germany to do it, but they shouldn't be criticizing us for being just like them, right?

There's people out there that won't buy a Japanese car because "they bombed Pearl Harbor."

'Extraordinary rendition', which the US government has been doing for a few years now, because it thinks it can bypass the legal requirement of actually having any evidence. There's a ton of evidence out there that suggests the US government blatantly flouts International law and human rights, and with the tacit approval of other western governments.

Quote:
more and more people, including important lawmakers, are paying closer attention to the government policy wherein terror suspects are transferred from U.S. control into the control of foreign governments, so that interrogation methods that are not permitted under U.S. law may be applied to the suspects. In other words, when our government decides that a particular suspect may have information that is of particular use, and that this information must be obtained quickly, it farms the suspect out to governments that permit, or at least do not explicitly outlaw, torture. And apparently it does this despite a 1998 law that seems to prohibit the practice.
Quote:
" ....Foreign nationals suspected of terrorism have been transported to detention and interrogation facilities in Jordan, Iraq, Egypt, Diego Garcia, Afghanistan, Guantánamo, and elsewhere. In the words of former CIA agent Robert Baer: "If you want a serious interrogation, you send a prisoner to Jordan. If you want them to be tortured, you send them to Syria. If you want someone to disappear -- never to see them again -- you send them to Egypt."
