All these facts come from Freedom of Information requests, public laws, and various books that have been published, and have not been refuted
by Clinton.

After the 1993 World Trade Center bombing, President Clinton promised that those responsible would be hunted down and punished.

After the 1995 bombing in Saudi Arabia, which killed five U.S. military personnel Clinton promised that those responsible would be hunted down and punished.

After the 1996 Khobar Towers bombing in Saudi Arabia, which killed 19 and injured 200 U.S. military personnel; Clinton promised that those
responsible would be hunted down and punished.

After the 1998 bombing of U.S. embassies in Africa, which killed 224 and injured 5,000; Clinton promised that those responsible would be hunted down and punished.

After the 2000 bombing of the USS Cole, which killed 17 and injured 39 U.S. sailors; Clinton promised that those responsible would be hunted down and punished.

Maybe if Clinton had kept those promises, an estimated 3,000 people in New York and Washington, DC that are now dead would be alive today.

AN INTERESTING QUESTION:
This question was raised on a Philly radio call-in show. Without casting stones, it is a legitimate question.

There are two men, both extremely wealthy. One develops relatively cheap software and gives billions of dollars to charity.

The other sponsors terrorism. That being the case, why was it that the Clinton Administration spent more money chasing down Bill Gates over the eight years in office, than Osama bin Laden?

It is a strange turn of events. Hillary gets $8 Million for her forth coming memoir. Bill gets about $12 Million for his memoir yet to be written. This from two people who spent 8 years being unable to recall
anything about past events while under oath.

I'm voting for swift-boating. Carter did pardon everyone (en masse) who resisted the draft during Vietnam. But I find it hard to believe that Clinton dodged the draft and all the people who were perfectly willing to lie about him failed to mention it.

What I find most interesting about the email is that it is used as a justification for denying the Presidency to Hillary.

Doesn't pass the smell test. But it is a pretty good example of how swift-boating works.

No one ever said he was classified 1A, told to report, and didn't show up. And no one ever made the fallacious claim that he was pardoned by Carter. I could go on...

He did what most everyone did to avoid being drafted into Vietnam. Maneuver. No more, no less. It was a different time, one that you have to study carefully if you want to accurately second guess.

The Vietnam war is singly responsible for why so many jobs today require college degrees to get, but not to do. But that's a story for another thread.

I was always (due to there not being a draft since then) under the impression that you got your number and if it was called..................you went.

How were they able to manipulate that system?

And whats your theory to the college degree bullshit?

yeah well clinton didnt induce a major war effort either. but when someone on there side dodges drafts and then acts like it never happened you wont hear about it. or they beat out actual war veterns in the primaries of the party that claims to "be on the troops side"

First off....................I asked if anyone had any proof to the stupid fucking email I got..........

I could care less about Democrats or Republicans.............theyre all fucking crooks and as far as Im concerned, anyone to take office should do so with the idea of a gun being aimed at them at all times.

I would like to hear any fact as to how anyone could in fact draft dodge with manuvering like was mentioned and what it means (the classifications)

A lot of people dodged the draft by going into the national guard. They would find out they were being drafted, then go join the guard to be sure that they did not go to nam.

First was the college deferment. But anyone who know someone on the draft board or had a friendly doctor might have used those options too. Another option was to create a mental health or sexual preference issue. There were also home remedies and concoctions meant to influence the physical. And lastly, enlisting in the Guard based on receiving either a low draft number or an induction letter.

The draft ended the year I would have been eligible, BTW. But its important to remember that these avoidance attempts were more than commonplace and were aimed at avoiding involuntary servitude that required (in my view and the view of others) the killing of perfectly innocent people who'd done nothing to deserve it.


As to the college thing enrollments increased dramatically due to 1. Student deferment and 2. the GI Bill. Never before were so many people attending college. Both factors were equally important as the benefit for returning GI's was generous enough to fully fund a community college tuition (as it should have been) and paid a substantial part of the cost of a four year college.

These two factors skewed the proportion of graduates to be much greater than the jobs that then required them. As college graduates got these jobs, more and more jobs added the college requirement as a prerequesite, simply because they could. So today, even jobs that are no more complex high school coursework require a bachelor's degree.

In the 70s a high school diploma had value and was the ticket-of-entry to most jobs. Today, you'll need at least four more years.

Interesting history lesson Jim..............and the theory on college shit probably holds its weight.

Unfortunately Ive met several high school dropouts that are far more brilliant than 90% of the dumb fucks that spent good money on college.

I wonder how one can actually not call it descrimination legaly to require a four year degree..........Isnt it really all about aptitude in the end?

I know I regret the college loan payments I make every month.......I still owe nearly 20 G's for something that I dont use as a career path.

Experience is our best teacher..........not some jackass telling you to memorize "facts" that will be disproved 20 years down the road.
