Without watching the vid yet, I say yes. The amount of money that was spent in IRAQ, could have been used to stop all hunger, and other smaller wars in the world several times over.

WTF, they had 3 mortar rounds in a bag... THEY DESERVED IT.

Its not ethnic cleansing, they wouldn't have been beaten if they weren't fucking insurgents.

If they made an IED out of the mortar rounds, would they still be innocent if they were caught and beaten? What if they used the IED and killed some US soldiers. Still innocent and not deserving of a little roughing up?

If you are an insurgent, you deserve what you get.

Guys got beat down because they were carrying potential IED's. Guess maybe you shouldn't do that in a war zone. Though if you're trying to extend good will (reporter noted that-doesn't mean its true though) it would be better to just throw them in the truck and haul 'em off to jail.

The racism you see between Shiite's and Sonny's (sp?) has existed for a while hasn't it? Not to blanket all middle eastern countries but they're still very stone age when it comes to race, religion, and acceptance.

This is a double edged sword. Its partly why Ive always believed we shouldnt have bothered with them in the first place. They have been killing their own kind since the dawn of written history.

Sectarian killings isnt new to these people.........Saddam just posed a threat so great that they kept it low key.

But we are there and it is our fucking job to keep these people under control.

If the american soldiers there are going to just fucking drive around and procreate violence by allowing it to happen, whats the point of having them there?

I still think they should line everyone up and level the entire fucking place.....Then no one has guns to do shit.

Iraq needs border security to keep weapons out and to have everyone else stripped of weapons.

Of course we are. We had a tacit agreement to allow the Shia death squads out to take care of ex-Saddam loyalists early in the war. This is the outcome of that thought process.

I'm glad foreign news exists, otherwise we'd get nothing but pure bullshit.

US forces were deployed to Bosnia and Herzegovina during the Bosnian war, in part to stop Slobodan Milošević, right?

I blame the British. The British Empire were the ones to draw up the boundary lines to where they saw fit, ignoring the cultural boundaries of the area at the time.

and we had an actual group in need of help that wanted cooperation. In this war, we do not have any allies. Not to mention we are fighting foreign insurgents as well.

Although there were also foreign fighters in Bosnia too, most noteably from Serbia at Slobodan's request.

Again, different. You had one enemy. In a civil war, of which you are the foreign fighter, you have no allies.

Shia and Sunni are shooting each other AND Americans. Not to mention Iran, Saudi Arabia, Al Qaeda, Syria, Lebanon and a few others. Apples to oranges comparison.

But similar, no? Foreign fighters, different religious factors. It's eerily similar.
