fanatics intent on killing us, airport
security screeners will no longer be allowed to profile
>>certain people. They must conduct random searches of 80-year-old
women, little kids, airline pilots with proper identification,
secret agents who are members of the President's security detail,
85-year old Congressmen with metal hips, and Medal of Honor winning
and former Governor Joe Foss, but leave Muslim Males between the
ages 17 and 40 alone lest they be guilty of profiling.



Let's send this to as many people as we can so that the
Gloria Aldreds and other dunder-headed attorneys along with Federal
Justices that want to thwart common sense, get the

message .

Here's is what really pisses me off. I am a contractor for the DOD. I have an active security cleraance. Why is it not possible for me to get something on one of my several government ID's to get me through this security acreening at the airport.

Oh, wait. That would make too much sense. That alone rules it out.

My problem with profiling is just because someone looks a certain way, doesn't mean they are that certain way. I have a friend from Venezuela, medium olive complexion, thin, maybe looks hispanic, maybe looks arabic, maybe looks mixed. He was pulled aside, had his luggage ripped apart, had to undress down to his undershirt and underwear. He was flying into Milwaukee to give a speech and see some friends. Nothing more, nothing less.

I guarantee you he got selected based on his appearance. However, he is the most non-violent guy you could ever meet. Anyone remember when Cat Stevens got yanked off an international flight because he had changed his name to a traditionally arabic one? Another peace-lover getting profiled. It's bullshit.

A few months after 9/11, a coworker and I flew up to New Jersey for the day to meet with our vendor. We bought a last minute ticket for probably $1000 apiece.

We were both carrying laptop bags, she had a small purse in addition. We were stopped at 4 security checkpoints throughout Atlanta Hartsfield. Three of them were "random" checkpoints by the subway and the terminal.

I was searched once, at the front entrance where everyone is screened. She was searched each of the other times.

She was wearing a business suit. I was wearing beige pants and a polo.

I was 22 at the time, 6', 170lbs, with a goatee, dark hair, and dark skin.

She is 5'2", 115lbs, blonde hair, blue eyes.

After the third time she was asked to empty her belongings, I questioned why no one has asked me. He said they were instructed to conduct random searches, and that's all it was.

It was seriously wrong not to search me.

I didn't vote, however I don't see what the big deal is. I'd be in favor of complete luggage searches and pat-downs for every passenger irregardless of appearance, if the airports would initiate such practice. Anything to keep me from falling out of the sky...

I think they should racial profile, but you can't just limit psychotic deathwish mentalities to just a certain racial profile....anyone anywhere could be a terrorist. So yes, you may find more extremists within one particular race, but you can't rule everyone else out.
