Regardless of when he signed up he knew that the minute he stepped into the MEPS station he was fucked. That there could be a war at any minute.

He knew that the second he signed that dotted line the last time, he belonged to the military and did NOT have the same rights as a civilian.

Dude is a tool and deserves to go to prison.

Id have more respect if he said that he didnt want to go and get killed. Instead he plays the "moral" card in hopes it will rally support.

As far as Im concerned. If you go into the military you know all the possible outcomes, such as disfigurement, dismemeberment and death.

No. I don't give a fuck what he's doing. The fact this made it to the public to see is a sign of how pathetic our nation is. It's a fucking joke. Also he never deserted.

Hell the Pentagon is saying he applied for conscientious objector status, which both him and his lawyer state he did not.

Personally I'd like to know how a fuck up like this got through as far as to become an officer. Shit like that isn't easy. Just shows how big a joke our military really is, and I speak from experience.

I put up my bext six years of my life in the Army and I did saw many butterbar tools straight out of west point acting like they know it all. All you need is an associate degree to get commissioned. Sure he didn't deserted per say but his actions are just about the same. He abandoned his troops, his platoon, being a platoon leader he should be the first in line. He even made his very own pathetic support site www.thankyoult.org I think that only now he's realizing the world of shit he got himself into.

What I hate the most is that you can bet that insurgents will use his actions to brainwash new recruits. So that asshole not only abandoned his troops, he probably made our enemies stronger.

I sure do love firing squads... Can't really do that, but throw his bitch ass in jail. He signed up to fight, make him fight. If he refuses to, it's insubordination. I don't give a shit how he feels, his job is to take orders, not pick and choose which ones he likes based on what he's doing or his likelyhood of getting his ass shot.
