Most people are idiots. Unless your one vote decided whether a republican or democrat made it to office (which is virtually impossible, at least for president), then your vote was just as wasted as if you voted for a minor party. In fact, I'd say it's even more wasted, one because you're one out of 100 to 200 million people that voted for that party instead of one out of a few million or less, and two, your vote didn't even go towards the person you want in office. I've talked to a few people about the libertarian party and it's surprising how many people agree with their idealogy, and yet they get so few votes. If everyone who thought their votes were wasted by voting for them would just do it, they'd actually be pretty competitive. Personally, I think that's one of the biggest problems with our country, and people who vote for a major party only so their vote isn't wasted don't deserve the right to vote. Last election, I voted libertarian for everything except president, and I think my mistake was for whom I voted for president.

Maybe we should start a new thread about this though. We're hijacking this one pretty badly.

Your vote is wasted no matter what, especially if you are voting on a Diebold programmable voting machine. The election process in the US is not transparent and blatantly dishonest. Here's an example.

If you are still in doubt that the voting process is dishonest, here's a pic to erase all doubt.

I just saw the video and I think the more embarrasing part of it is Bush chewing with his mouth open and looking like he's missing a chromosome.
