I have never onced mentioned anything about religion or the bible in this thread, as it is not where I get my view on abortion from. The bible is irrelevant to how I feel about it. You all just assume that this is the case, even though I have stated already that it is not. It makes your lives easier to lump people that do not agree with you into one big ball. It is not the case. Here are the stereotypes usually associated with my point:

Remained virgins untill marriage. I did not.

Believe in only teaching abstinance. I do not. While abstinance should be highly stressed, I am not so naive to believe that most kids will listen (I didn't). They should also know how to be as safe as possible, even if it is the wrong choice they are making. I am not being a hypocrit, just admitting I was wrong.

Support the death penalty. I do. Kill the crimanally guilty, not the innocent unborn.

Doesn't support stem cell research. I do. The fetus is already murdered, at least some good could come from something horrible.

I think I hit them all. As much as you would like to group us all together on all topics and think that we are all the same and have the same reasons for believing what we do, it is just not the case.

And no, I am not going to get into a debate about why I hold each of those positions. I just posted them to show that you can't just stereotype people.

What you are saying eludes to me thinking this way has something to do with the bible. The stereotype is that all pro lifers are a bunch of bible thumpers. If depicting that stereotype was not your intention, then I see no way that your statement was relevant. There has been a lot of murder throughout human history. That doesn't make it right. If you were not trying to paint me as a hypocritical religous fanatic, why bring up the bible, when, if I recal correctly, you do not believe in it?

Your inability to present a rational thought in no way affects my self esteem.
