That is not going to happen, everyone who has a CCW knows it can be a pain in the ass to get and something as small as a reckless driving ticket can cause them to loos that privlidge. I would also say a majority of CCW holders charish that priv. so much they wouldnt do anythuing to screw it up. I will be damned if I am going to live in a country where the only people carrying are thugs, mafia and cops. And if the 2A goes away soon will follow the LEO's rights to carry because an unarmed society should not have armed police officers.

Face it we do NOT live in candyland. and every prohibition has blown up in the goverments face and puts money in the hands of organized crime, this includes protsitution, drug, tobacco, and alcohol.

Also the highest crime rates observed are in communities that have no 2A privs. do a google search. DC, NYC, etc. etc.

That is all

A domestic argument remains just that, instead of what happened yesterday in Milwaukee. A 32 year old man shot his girlfriend in a freaking DAY CARE with three kids around, then turned the gun on himself. No gun, no shots fired. See my point?

I can see by your AWESOME example that this person DEFINITELY wouldnt have stabbed his wife with a knife, beat her with a bat, stabbed her in the throat with a fucking pen... just generally it NEVER would have happened in the absence of guns.

Again, awesome example.

I am confused about one thing though... what does a crazy guy with a gun shooting his wife have to do with the LEGAL right to secure a CCW permit?

sorry i get lost easily

*edit* just wanted to add, last week a SHERIFF shot his wife, friend and fellow LEO and HIS wife and then shot himself with his department issued firearm.... Guess we should just outlaw guns all together right?

we are going to allow the average person to make the same use of force decisions LEO do. yet without the accountablility and training. its seems like a recipe for disaster to me.
Yeah we have a prime example of LEO's using the best of judgement at all times no less. Or have you not seen the news?

There is absolutely no reason why someone who is willing to take a training class and qualify with a specific weapon, shouldnt be able to carry.

Im willing to bet that she knew something wasnt right and if she didnt know, nothing would have saved her. Especially not banning guns. We both know a screwdriver will do the right amount of damage let alone a large rock or a piece of glass.

Youre barking up the wrong tree. Id rather have the ability to defend myself in the biggest percentage of situations possible. The only way to insure you are screwed is to limit your defenses

We carry an awesome weapon everyday and most don't realize it....ever stabbed someone with a pen or pencil?? Maybe we should outlaw writing instruments too.

The thing is....just about ANYTHING can be used for a weapon if used properly.

explain to me how a gun in a holster under a jacket is going to defend you. provide me with a detail scenerio where you carrying a weapon is going to defend you.

true. i guess the argument could be made that if a pen can be used as a weapon it can be used for defense as well. if its such a great and dangerous weapon what do we need guns for? i'm just stirring the pot with that statement. i know it sounds rediculas just like the idea of comparing a pen to a firearm does.

sure...you can kill someone with a three inch blade. its a lot harder to kill someone with a three inch blade or any blade for that matter than it is to kill someoen with a firearm. the difference is that it requires closer contact and lot more precision. you can kill someone with a gun so ong as they are in your line of sight.

Anyone have the link to the walmart story? Where the lady saved someones life by shooting them, than walmart tried to sue here, and dropped the case, because the intended victim sued walmart.

Hybrid has to have this one somewhere

anyways this is a pointless thread that ALWAYS ends the same, a bunch of flames, and almost nobodies mind is changed

You can argue 2A rights till you die, but #1 almost nobody on this board is going to be converted because of it, You are not going to go out and change the laws, if someone tried to remove the 2A it would NOT get voted in for about 200 years, if you care so deeply about changing it run for office and use that as your main campaign.

Just know that the 2A is pretty much the only reason I will never vote Blue.
you guys drop that issue and you would have a larger number of supporters.

Where is a "Im pissed, Bush Sucks Ass, Kerry Should Have Won Thread" cause that is about 90% of the daymn posts in this forum.

Most gun fights happen within 3-7 feet. Remember the 21 foot rule bro. A person with a holstered gun cannot clear the holster and fire accurately before a person charging them with a knife from 21 feet away can stab them (yes we have tested this theory). And for that matter I know a few guys that can throw a knife and at 30 feet are pretty accurate!

The object of carrying the weapon concealed is when needed you can suprise the person you are trying to defend yourself against. If someone stabbed me with an ink pen I think I would be pretty damned surprised. I will put my pocket knife against any untrained shooter anyday....and with an ink pen back up!

I would be very surprised if Malik ever owned a firearm or had any regular instruction about safe use or actual used one, long gun, pistol or otherwise.

Well, just one example I saw in the newspaper the other day. Florida laxed up on their concealed carry laws, and their violent crime rate fell 27% at the same time, while the country's violent crime rate rose 9%. I read a study, and I don't remember where, but it stated most people in this state were for a more loosely controlled CC program. The prime opponents of it were, surprise surpse, convict's. Who wants to attack an armed person?

It's obvious through your posts sexyicecold and malik that you're both very liberal, thus fairly anti-gun or anti-CCW. While not all liberals oppose guns, you all seem too, and without having firearms as a hobby, you'll never understand what draws people to them. I don't expect anyone to agree with me, but like it or not, this country, or atleast the "blue" states in my area are going more towards less restrictions on concealed carrying, and violent crime is going down.
