Fargin - Nobody's dictating anything. No one's right's were violated here. No one's making you see it or not see it. Treat it like wal-mart - boycott going to that guys theater if you don't like his business practices. You're the one that's all "freaked out" over something that doesn't matter one bit. It's a fictional movie. Whether I see it or not, my life as a free American continues.

Oh yeah, and what do people do all day long? They decide moral boundaries - Churches, work, recreation, whatever. Apparently one of your morals is to dictate what other business owners should do. Quit dictating what's morally acceptable and pushing it on me.

I think the reason people in Salt Lake wouldn't want to see it is because of the large Christian population that thinks homosexuality is wrong and wouldn't want to see this movie because of that. They've made up their mind and the theater is reflecting that mindset.

So, I am dictating what's morally acceptable by saying that someone should allow you to decide what's morally acceptable? Makes sense.

I AM saying that you should be allowed to decide with your money.

Unless every movie that has ever included gays has been banned from this theater, it really isn't fair to say that is why this movie is not being shown. Itg is probably just a business decision. This person does not own a theater to serve the public. he owns it to make money. Rather than showing a movie that is most likely not going to make money, which he can see from similar movies past performances, he chose to put something in its place that will make more money.

There a many movies made every year that do not show in this theater. That does not mean that the topic of every one of them is being censored. It just means that there is no profit in it, or there is more profit in something else.

If you want a yes or no answer I say yes. My reasoning? - This area of the country obviously has a strong anti-homosexual stance. This movie has been hyped up so much and was made with the intention to condone homosexual behavior. Hostel has been hyped up a lot as well, but wasn't made to condone torture. It was made to scare you. We all know it's not gonna happen to us and there is no moral implication that the movie or the theater showing it condones torture. Broke Back mountain on the other hand has moral implications.

Obviously Jr. you dont know too much about organized religion. Most religions say there is a certain amount a "good" practicioner will "donate" to go to heaven.
