To kick off LB's 2008 British Superbike season coverage we've been to the official test weekend at Snetterton. It wasn't blessed with the weather it needed. Although Saturday was very wet and cold the real problem was the high winds, especially for the 125's. Most of the day garage doors were shut tight against the cold wind while mechanics tinkered with bikes and riders posed for photographs. Some teams still managed to get track time in but with riders returning unable to feel their fingers!
After a freezing night (especially for those of us in tents) the snow began to fall heavily and didn't stop all Sunday morning. By midday most of the bigger teams had packed up and looked ready to leave. Rather than racing bikes most riders and mechanics were having snowball fights! Due to the early departure of many of the teams we missed the opportunity to photograph some of the new bikes and sadly didn't get to see them out on the track.
In two weeks we're treated to the first race of the season at Brands Hatch. Can't wait!
