playing with a telescope

heres a couple of pics of the whirlpool galaxy i took with my telescope. the same object data processed a little differently. these look okay on my laptop, which i used to process, but have terrible color on a a regular monitor for some reason.
the first as a clipped core but is smooth, the second has a much better core but is to grainy from the amount of processing i did to correct it. im still an beginner to photoshop, which is the standard for processing these type of pics.

I think those pics are out of focus gsxr headlights if you look closely

it was taken at my moms house in north east tennessee.
the scope is a 6" f/5 newtonian. the scope, camera and everything else needed are for sale btw at a good price

i have medical bills to pay off so it needs to go.
i did a bit more processing and came up with a better combination of signal/noise. probably no one can tell though.
